Today, Monday at Hacienda Hills, Oaks to Palms we were moving at a steady pace, not fast, 1 hour and 50 minutes front nine. When we got to the 10th tee there was one four some waiting to tee off. OK , that wasn’t too bad. The next 3 holes were minor waits on the tee. When we got to the 14th tee, we met the ambassador along with 2 other 4-somes on the tee, one in the fairway and one on the green. That makes 5 groups on the same hole. The ambassador said one group was a little slow up ahead of everyone. We waited about 20 minutes to tee off and the jam up continued for the rest of the holes we were able to play. The sky opened up on the 17th tee and it rained so hard that we had to abandon our game as did my entire group of three 4-somes. We would have easily finished before the rains came if it weren’t for the one inconsiderate group slowing down the entire course. I only ask that when playing golf, look behind you and see if you are holding up more than one group.

PVC pipes no longer above hole level but about 1/2 to 3/4 inches below the ground level. No more easy putts that just hit the pipe but a new problem has arose. Putts that should go in the hole are lipping out due to the ball hitting the top of the pipe and circling the cup, sometimes coming out. I think the pipe needs to be a little deeper in the hole or a noodle type material should be used to stop bounce and lip outs.
