What's different today? I just took the time to watch "Stand By Me". One of my all time favorite movies. If you have never seen it please watch. When it was over I asked myself what was so different when we were kids. We grew up in a similar neighborhood, ran the streets for entertainment, had our differences but our innocence always came through and we accepted one another. If we fought we always got over it because we were all in similar circumstances and all we had was one another. Now it is the have and have nots. No incentives to get better because the government will take care of you. We had no health care, not much welfare. When my dad died my friends were my comfort not some social worker sent by the government. I think we have gotten weak and submissive and rely too much on the differences between us because we can. We had no choice so we got by on what we had. Can't say that today. Watch the movie it will ring true!

Tapped in The Villages! I have been seeing a commercial on TV featuring a woman Villager named Donna from Connecticut who claims Donald Trump is responsible for "trapping her," in The Villages away from her grandchildren. I have news for Donna. Planes are flying, cars are traveling even trains and busses are running. Our grandchildren came for a visit in June - no one died. It isn't Donald Trump who put a ban on travel - it is the Governor of your home state. And since you miss it that much why not go back!!! Then you will not be "trapped in The Villages" any more.
