Does anyone know if you can hook up a digital antennae (to get ABC) for HGTVs with Dish? Looking to use with the Joey hopper. Thanks for any info you can provide

Three different landscapers who we did not call, stopped by my house today to advise my husband (who was out in the yard) that the three Sylvester palms in our yard all have some type of fungus and need to be trimmed. Is this some sort of scam going around? I don’t know if the trees have fungus or not but from what I’ve read you don’t treat fungus by very costly trimming. I’m going to take pictures and visit with the Master Gardner group this week. Has any one else been approached like this recently?
