Hi Katie - Great to hear from you. I can't really say I'm all moved in (it's only been 3 weeks) but the boxes are greatly reduced. Great you'll be coming down in September. I'm sure you'll love it here. That's a huge rent increase but I guess that was because the snow birds come down then.

I have not gone to any of the singles events and more than likely will not go anyway. I hate the term "singles". Makes it sound as if there is some sort of stigma attached to not being married. Besides, I'm not looking to date or get involved. Been there - done that - more trouble than it's worth and just not worth the bother.

It's very hot these few days - 93 or so and I'm sure that the New England temps are much cooler. I miss being cool sometimes. Ah well....such is life.

How goes the war? Are you all moved in? Have you made it to any of the singles groups or events? I bought my tickets. I will be arriving September 7th. I hope someone on Kitty's thread is still giving these intro parties by then. I think I'd rather attend one before giving one, but, so far I only have a place until December. The rent went from $1600 to $3500 in January. I might stay until May if I can find a place cheap enough.

So? You made it? When you get some time, I'd love to hear all about your initiation and what you've done so far. You seemed to be getting a little 'nervous' there toward the end and I'm feeling that same knot in my stomach now, because I just signed the lease and sent the exorbitant rent check.

Are you serious? He threatened you? How could he get away with that? Here you were doing nothing but trying to foster some friendship and it got out of hand. I'm so sorry that this happened. I do hope that you'll continue to contact me though and that you won't let his stupidity stop you from considering moving to TV. I'm a good person and I think that most generally are as well. Please keep me in your loop.

I thought I should tell you I've left my thread. GeeWiz hijacked it, made a mockery of the forum and threatened me. We forget that no one knows him, that he can be anything behind the protection of these sites. But, this was not meant to be a stage for his poetry or tasteless jokes. I tried to bring it back, but he made it clear I was not going to stop him and I can see he meant it. Be careful Diane. Take my word for it. Stay away from him.
