There are numerous very nice options in and around The Villages to chose from, with a variety of price ranges. A move of any sort for elderly parents is traumatic. To consider moving them twice, from a home or villa then to an independent living would be even more upsetting. In a facility they will not be alone. There are other residents, dining options and many activities, whereas, if they are home alone, they will be much more isolated and dependent on you for everything. Initially, they will probably resist any move, so you will need to have patience and diplomacy. Don’t get sucked into the quilt trip, especially in the beginning. Good luck to all of you.
