Politicians are the scourge of the earth and I mean Democrats and Republicans. Every year I get an update this time of year on my SS and the first line is you got a increase to keep up with inflation. The politicians rave about how they took care of our SS.
Well another look and ouch. The top number looks great but the bottom number what I will take home is always lower than the year before. This year as with many in the past the bottom line went down, I am now taking home $39.64 less than last year. I looked back in my records and what I took home in 2005 is 38.96 more then what I am taking home in 2021. That is 16 years of increases or should I say decreases. This is not about the money it is about the continued falsehood that is ingrained in Politicians. Will a politician ever tell the whole truth?
