Gypsy, You seem to have great local informatilon. Wife and I know very little about the area except that there are 39 golf courses at the Village. We will be returning to Florida sometime in May, with furniture for the new house, and maybe we can get together for coffee or a drink with a map and you can show me these "locks" and boat routes.
