Hi all, recently purchased patio villa - very excited to "make it our own" and engage in the Village lifestyle. Question about palm tree...our property has a rather large (for the location) tree very near the lanai. So near that if allowed to grow naturally, the fronds reach across the narrow concrete path from front to side patio and nearly touch the side of lanai. The leaves (if that's correct term) are like needles and I was almost stabbed in the eye once while passing between it and the lanai. Sooo, question is can anything be done? I know there are restrictions regarding removal of trees this size; however, I honestly wonder why something so large was planted so close to the house. Thanks for any thoughts, comments or ideas.
