Hi - Saw your question about the "computer questions" section. It's down below in the "forums" - like Lost and Found, Happy Birthday, Contractors and Services. Anyways, here is the first post I made:

For everyone having a problem opening up the classified ads I have figured out a "work-around". You have AdBlocker Plus or AdBlocker Ultimate installed on your computer. To get by this:
    1. You need to be on the Talk of the Villages site.
    2. Click on you AdBlocker icon on the top of the page.
    3. Change the setting from "Enabled on this site" to "Disabled on this site".
    4. It will not be pretty. You will get all the google ads and extra junk but at least you can see the ads now and your AdBlocker will only be disabled for the TOTV site.
    5. Good Luck.

Please let me know if you have a problem with this. I sent the instructions to a Villager, she followed the directions and said it works for her too....Kathy

I have a friend who paints for a g. He has done my bathroom vanities and my friends kitchen cabinets. When he did mine, I had him do lacquer paint and it is incredible!!! So smooth and not at all thick. He did a beautiful job on my friends as well but I prefer the look of lacquer. zero chipping, etc. It really depends on what you do and how good your painter is. Mine are like car paint. Gorgeous. Food for thought.
Steve's onsite is what to look up for my painter. He is talented. I trust him implicitly. He is NOT fast but he is meticulous.

They were a gray looking oak now they are white. The original door are real wood the new doors they are selling are made of glued together sawdust. I stayed with my cabinets (Real Wood) and they still look great.

What color are your cabinets now --and what color were they before you painted them?

Thank you Tom. So nice of you to write and give us some suggestions. Surprisingly I woke up this morning and saw that the TV lights were on--and then I tried the other lights and they came on--and I was thrilled. But when I pulled the string on the ceiling fan/light--everything went out again... I will now go and try all the GFIs. Who did you call to get this fixed or figured out? Should I call SECO? Or should I look for an electrician? Thank you again.

It may be your GFI plugs have tripped. These are in the kitchen, bathroom, garage, and porch. They have reset buttons on the plugs. To test them plug in any small electrical device like a lamp or radio. If they don't work unplug and push the reset button not the test button. The GFI plugs protects all plugs "downstream" so its important to check the GFI plugs. GFI plugs are sensitive to surges if they keep tripping you may need a filter on the device causing the problem. We had to put on on our vacuum. Good luck
