Good luck. Be prepared to wait so make sure you have the basics you will need to survive. Don't bring anything that you haven't used in 20 years... Be very careful to choose a reputable moving company with excellent references. BEWARE of The Elite Moving Company. They promise you everything...but once your stuff is on the truck they are totally unsupportive. The cost varies depending on how much stuff you are moving. Once again...good luck!

Hire ONLY reputable companies, several friends had horror stories to tell when hiring cheap companies, never heard back from them, etc. and half of their move never arrived. Big companies might be a little more money but you will get all your stuff delivered.

Moving from Ma to The Villages and looking for mover recommendations. I know it can be hit or miss.

We will be retiring and coming down to the Villages in a couple of years and we are very interested in hearing about the Villages Health Plan - pros & cons. I am assuming that this is supplementary gap insurance. What are the monthly premiums? Out of pocket expenses? Prescription costs? Thanks for the feedback!

New Villagers need your help with barking dog situation!!! My husband and I bought a CYV at the end of the year with the plan to retire in mid 2015. The villa is in the rental pool and we have a quite a bit of interest BUT have lost 2 VERY interested parties because of our neighbors dogs that bark incessantly. HELP!! We believe they are leaving the dogs outside all day while they are either in the house or working.....we are planning on taking a trip to the villages this weekend to check this situation out. Has anyone out there had a similar problem and if yes -- WHAT IS OUR RECOURSE?? We are losing $$$$. We think there may be 3 dogs - which is not allowed - but what about the noise??? Thanks in advance for any help with this issue!
