    Hi Pete,
The house is on the market since the beginning of March. We've had alot of visitors but no offers. We just reduced the price from $650 to $625 hoping that will bring an offer. You can check out our virtual tour by typing in our address (109 Old Wagon Road, Middletown) at Needless to say, we can't get down there fast enough. Chris is on the Villages site every day picking out houses and watching them be sold. Ed and Susan are all settled in in Hemmingway and enjoying it very much. They like the golfing, riding the golf cart around and the movies. They go to the town square for music and happy hour. I asked him if he's given you a call yet and he said he feels "funny". Anyway, his number is 352-753-1694 if you feel inclined.
Hope you guys are well and having a great time.

    Hi there!

Sorry for the delay! I have not been on the site for a few are things in TV? Hope all is going really well..

We have had our house on market for 2 mo now....almost had a buyer after a month but he could not decide between our house which he liked better and the house behind us which has a great pool and hot tub...he finally decided on theirs.....we think we have our house priced too low...another house down the street same model as ours with a first floor office that we don't have listed for 25K more than us....Hopefully though that will make ours more attractive and sell we can GET THE HECK DOWN's maddening selling a house isn't it?

What part of NJ are you from? We are in South J 1 hr from Atlantic City....we have lived here also all our life and we like it...but can't wait to get away from the cold and high taxes, car ins etc.

Would love to meet you when we get down there....are you enjoying the good life???

Our house in NJ has closed. We are living with friends in Brooksville. We looked at spec built homes and lots on the 17th. We want to buy an At Ease with the 2 car plus garage. Today we will meet with the mortgage officer at the bank. I hope to be a TV owner by the end of the day. Wish us luck.

We will be living with friends in Brooksville, Fl. until we can pick and build a home in TV. We will be visiting regularly, since Brooksville is only about an hour away.
Pete, still in NJ, hopefully not for long.

I saw your post and had to make contact with you due to our similarities.
My wife and I have lived in jersey all our lives, raised three sons, and have enjoyed 4 of our grandkkids for seven years and one for 4 years. We are ready for the " Life Style" offered at TV.
We put the house on the market in April 2009, in January 2010, we were in contract, " with the buyers from hell". They bargained us down $10000 from our asking price , agreeing to then purchase "as is". That didn't last, as they proceeded to make demands for repairs based on a very lame home inspection. Our lawyer advised us to negotiate on the repairs, and we finally settled.
Then they wanted the work to be certified by a licensed contractor. We have done that as well.
We expect to close on April 15, 2010.
So I hope you have better luck and fewer problems. Get a good lawyer and once you have a buyer do what you can to hold on to them.
I hope to stay in touch by way of TOTV. Good Luck

    Hi there!

Happy to get your message! Are you in the Villages yet? We are getting our house ready for sale...a little nervous about moving to a whole new state as we have been in Jersey all of our life....but we are excited too! We hope we won't have to wait too long to sell...We have no idea of the housing market here...we are going to be getting a market analysis in May....We loved the Villages though! We are looking forward to meeting a whole lot of new people and all the activities that are offered in the Villages...and it sure looks like the people down there like to party! I don't know if there is a New Jersey club we can meet other New Jerseyans!
    Thanks again for your message!

Is your wife on line?I would like to talk with her too..

Congradulations on the Contract on your house..Did TV help you list your home?

Do you know what model home you would like to buy?

Will you rent in Florida till you get in to TV?

Are you and your wife both retired?

We are still working..for now anyway.

My wife and I just spent another 5 days in TV . This time we were with my brother and his wife. I am still waiting to sell my house in NJ, so that we can buy in TV. I hate this sales market and hope that someone soon finds my house as desireable to their needs.
