Ok so a lot of oil was “released” from the strategic oil reserves. You know, the stuff we rely on to power our war machines, etc. Now I guess that was purchased initially for a lot less than what oil is going for now. I also guess that the oil was “released” (I.e., sold?) for a profit. So where does that profit on the oil sale get posted? Is there an “oil reserve fund” account? Just wondering. This is just a food for thought post, like the kind of thing that keeps me up at night. (Not)
