When The Villages Health was first created, my wife and I were lured by the hype that we could have an old-fashioned relationship with a Primary Care Physician (PCP from now on) who would know all about us and be a caring and engaged caregiver.Years into the system, we now get to see our PCP once a year for a physical, and if anything comes up we get to see a Physician Assistant whom we neither like nor trust. We can get an appointment to see our PCP if we are willing or can afford to wait a few weeks.

Can anyone recommend a General Practitioner who is well-qualified, will see us when needed within a reasonable span of time, and will be proactive in keeping track of our health (I read a posting by a villager who said his doctor called him to see how he was doing while away for the summer).

While we prefer to be close to The Villages, we are happy to consider doctors in the area from Belleview to Leesburg. Recommendations will be much appreciated.
