Jamie's Landscaping v. Village Palms. If you have a choice, choose Village Palms. You'll receive great advice, an opportunity to see computer-generated graphical designs of the landscaping plans and plants on your property before you sign a contract, good plants properly installed on your property, and peace of mind. Jamie's doesn't keep promises and is more interested in taking your money than giving you value for it.

Advice about landscapers: Get 3 estimates, a drawing of the landscaping showing the recommended plants, & the work to be done, e.g., irrigation-type, mulch, top-soil/peat-moss, etc, & the expected start & finish dates. Be at home to oversee workers. Some landscapers say "you pay anything until completely satisfied." BUT if you don't have everything in writing and you don't oversee the work, you won't get a quality job. Often, owners will get workers started, but they'll leave to other jobs. Often, owners won't return to inspect the work after a step or even a job. YOU MUST INSPECT THE WORK & get the fixes done BEFORE paying. Jamie's Landscaping made promises & replaced some plants before final payment, BUT many plants were not properly planted, weed-barrier wasn't placed between soil & all the stacked-walls, some plants weren't properly irrigated, sod wasn't watered & tamped down. If you hire Jamie's be there to oversee the work & workers, because he won't.
