Angry The Village Mover (Black Truck white writing)

We recently moved from The Villages back to New England. Did lots of research on movers, finally decided on The Village Mover. They are expensive, and they ruined nearly every piece of furniture they touched. I would not recommend them to anyone. If I had to do it again, I would get PODS and load them myself. If all movers are like The Village Mover, I would not let them take my trash to the dump. Not only did they damage nearly every piece of furniture they touched, they damaged the floors and walls of the new house we moved into. The even damaged the metal sill on our front door, now we will need to replace the entire door and frame. Did I mention this is a brand new house? the mover response, all the damage to the house and the furniture was pre-existing. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere! Only good thing I can say is they were on time.

They should have insurance, file a claim for the damage.

I have used Village Movers for 9 moves and the last one 4 days ago. In all the moves I have never had any damage to a house or any of my furniture

We have used them twice and no damage, very pleased. So sorry to hear your experience not good.

Default Move

I think you all are talking about two different moving companies one is Village Mover and the other in Village Movers.

There are a couple of look alikes.

Looks like the OP did a long distance move. You want to minimize the number of times the payload is touched.

We used Mike Collop Villagemover.com. We were very satisfied and there was no damage. See the thread below because there is another company with a similar sounding name.
