Default Football game cut short

I am not a big football fan, but occasionally I like to watch a game. Yesterday, I was watching the Patriots and Raiders game on CBS. The score was 33 to 8 with about 5 minutes remaining on the clock. Then, the announcer says that he knows who is going to win the game, so they switched the broadcast to another game. I think it is wrong to not show the entire game, especially since I didn't even care who won.

I'm a Patriots fan and I try to watch every game. I was a bit upset over this.

Yes, the outcome of the game was pretty much decided, but as a fan of a team, I like to see how the backup players perform when they come into a game. In the case of The Patriots, they just re-signed Brian Hoyer as their B/U quarterback and I would have like to watch his performance.

Giants fans up here in Maine were lucky to see the winning OT field goal before the station cut away to broadcast the Patriots game!

It didn't help yesterday as it was a nationally televised game. Although I was able to finish watching it on 702 which has 4 small pics for 4 games going on.
