Or what about college coach salaries? Like the 70 million dollar payout/severance to the “Your Fired!” Texas AM coach? Players are slowly getting their due in college sports.

I don't think there is a free version of Peacock. I was getting it for free from Xfinity, but they cancelled it.

Interesting. I just enrolled in the FREE Peacock Premium through Comcast (something about what services I use with them). It works pretty well and I found a way to install the app on my TV, so I don’t even need my cable box to watch it.

The bad thing is that I cannot record games and sitting through commercials and diarrhea-mouthed announcers is a bit much. For regular shows, it seems I see just one 30-second commercial per episode, so I’m pretty happy with that.

This may be a blessing for Dolphin fans. I would expect a blowout by KC playing at home with freezing temps.

KC had rested key players and Miami has so many injuries. Miami typically plays poorly in nasty weather.

I’d be shocked if it’s even a close game. Prediction. KC 45 Miami 10.

Ok..I'll take the 35 points and bet you. :icon_wink:

If you want to watch it you will have to subscribe to Peacock.

I think this is the first time that a playoff game will not be on network television.

If streaming NFL postseason games catches on, I can see the Super Bowl being streamed in a few years.

Glad I have Peacock

If a lot of people are willing to pay to watch the game, I assure you there will be little free football in the future.

Screw the fans, it is all about money baby!

I read somewhere that Xfinity was going to do that (cancel free Peacock) but I have Xfinity and I'm still getting it. I just looked on their Saturday lineup and the Miami game is there.
My normal Xfinity bill is $356 per month so I guess they felt sorry for stupid smucks like myself who refuse to cut the cord.

Just watch it on your phone with apps, Dofu or Live sports

Apparently, Peacock is still free for some Xfinity customers. For example, if you have the Gigabit internet service, Peacock is free for 2 years, but you do need to activate it.

Does anyone know how to get nbc 6 if you don’t live in the viewing area??

It seems that peacock paid a lot of money for the right to stream so i would expect that nbc will make it difficult to get around the paywall.

110,000,000

Rainger99 01-13-2024 09:21 PM

Is anyone watching the game without subscribing to peacock?

I can’t find the local Miami station and I can’t even find it on radio.

MorTech 01-14-2024 01:17 AM

Did any of you pay the 6 bucks to NBC to "Watch History Being Made"? What they really meant by that is that watching broadcast network television for free will be "History". I don't think network TV viewers are as stupid as NBC thinks they are.

Congressman looking into it

Chiefs-Dolphins playoff game airing exclusively on Peacock is a ‘disgrace’ for fans, says NY congressman Pat Ryan

Rainger99 01-14-2024 05:54 PM

Does anyone have the number of viewers for the Chiefs’ game??

I saw that the numbers won’t be released until Friday.

NBC just said 23 million streamed it. The most streamed event of any kind in the USA.
