Default Peyton Manning Retiring?

An article in the NY Daily News says Peyton Manning is to announce his retirement by the end of this week.

Should he?

I think he should, as clearly his throwing ability is diminished. He always had great skill at calling a game/plays and was a coach on the field. He is legendary, for his game preparations.

I am hoping he will be cleared in the PED allegations as the report was PED's, were shipped to his wife. Retirement might be a good way for evading testing to prove these accusations.

I am more concerned that he actions while a student at Tennessee are very alarming. I only read a little about this incident, so I am not well verse on this subject. Is this something that a young person does foolishly in their youth? My limited understanding was this episode resulted in an out of court settlement.

What do you think?

I would not blame him for choosing to retire. Go out on a high note and enjoy life.

Manning has little chance of re-signing with the Broncos. I hope he does not follow Brett Favre's end of career choices.

I hope he does. Though I've been a big fan of the team wherever he played (except for Tennessee, yech), it's time for him to retire; 2 SB rings and a HOF career - go out on a high note.

There are 2 sides to the story, my problem with the whole thing is the accuser is now taking the 3rd bite at this apple. Once when it happened, then again when Peyton published his book and none again this year.
