Let's face it folks. It's not the game, it's the gathering with friends and family. Sometimes known as a great excuse for a party (on a dull winter day for most of the country).

I was not disappointed, Helene and I watched the puppy bowl and then switched channels and watched the kitten bowl. The kittens outplayed the puppies. they used footballs and there was a lot of goal post climbing and one on one tackling. The butt sniffing prowess goes to the puppies. THEY BOTH were just adorable. ADORABLE I SAY!!!!


We missed the really good commercials. AND well, ummm. But the White House dogs are cute, cute, cute.

Incredible. I had to change clothes from orange to lime during the game. What a show by Seattle...

You didn't miss the good commercials... other than the puppy and Clydesdales, there weren't many!

(Although having grown up in Pittsburgh, I did like the Heinz Ketchup ad...)

It used to be you could get on You Tube and see all the commercials in one fell swoop.

What more can be said? The BETTER TEAM won. I think Peyton tried to throw in the towel in the 4th quarter, but it was intercepted!

Re the commercials they were pretty bad. The Budweiser one I had seen earlier in the week. But there was one I really liked and nobody seems to have seen it, was the Doritos
one with the kid riding his dog with a lasso. I am putting the you tube link for it.

I saw that one last week on You Tube but strangely, missed it during the game.
It was one of the few good ones.

I can't imagine watching the pomp and pageantry of the Super Bowl and thinking "what a lousy game". America is such a wonderful country, and the Super Bowl celebrated that. You citizens are lucky. The game was a tribute to the USA, from the national anthem (the words are thrilling), the huge flag, the welcome home of a hero, the first lady exercising ... Americans do it all so darn well. I really love the way this country is so patriotic. I enjoyed the football, although it appeared oddly mismatched. But even more, I enjoyed the enthusiasm around the game.

Thank you for that wonderful attribute, Bare! We've heard so much criticism over the past couple of decades that it's nice to be reminded of our good points.:coolsmiley:

As for the Super Bowl, it's a spectacle, it's noisy, it's just plain fun. As usual, whatever the sport may be, the better team won - the team that plays better is always going to win .................. fact of life!

Nice to have a home team that wins. Just wish I had bet on the game. All those years that someone from the office would go to vegas and place a bet for the office on the Seahawks at the beginning of the season. This year we would have cleaned up. However my fellow Seattle fans have taken the 12th man bit to the max. Can't go to a game at Century Link without earplugs. Glad to see the team could bring it when not playing in Seattle however it did rain a bit maybe it made them feel at home.

I'll be watching the recording of the bowl to savor it. I was too Bronco-sick watching the game to enjoy ads, but I did enjoy watching Seattle roll. I'm so unfaithful.

AND that my dear is why I love Canadians, but Bare is my favorite.
