Perfect picking week. Way to go.

Three games on Thanksgiving Thursday.

Taltarzac725 12-06-2012 08:21 AM

Taltarzac725 12-22-2012 04:23 PM

Atlanta at Detroit tonight. Good luck every one tonight and tomorrow.

How about those 49ers?

chuckinca 12-22-2012 05:55 PM

Maybe Alex Smith should talk to the Jets.

Somebody needs to talk to the Jets.

Taltarzac725 12-23-2012 07:39 PM

Congrats, Goskins2012, you win the week no matter which team wins the SF at Seattle game.

Taltarzac725 12-31-2012 08:40 AM

We're playoff bound. Is it set for one point per playoff win or are more points rewarded as we get closer to the Superbowl or some set points earned for each correct Playoff pick?

This is usually where I either fall flat on my face with the picks or really gain ground. At least that's how it has been with the NCAA Basketball tournament.

Congrats, GoSkins2012 for winning the regular season. :bigbow::coolsmiley:

villages07 12-31-2012 10:36 AM

Well, I will accept those congrats and the cash monetary prize (Commissioner Z???) for winning the regular season pick 'em.

But, better than that, after a long and painful drought, my Skins are in the playoffs. Yippee.

Good luck to all as we do our playoff picks.

I think it is one point per win. I did not see any place to change the settings.

The only option that I was able to select when I set the group uo was to continue through the playoffs.

As winner, You get half of the entry fees. Oops!! There were no entry fees! So congrats on the win. If I remember you were in first the whole year!!!

I watched most of the game last night. Glad Washington won since my Giants died in the stretch. Now to see how far they can go.

Good luck to all in the playoffs.

I was in first a few weeks ago. It has been very tight at the top with often three or four of us within one or two points of the lead.

schmitty 01-01-2013 05:35 PM

Good Luck to all in the playoffs. This is the point when my daughter and I will be picking our favorite teams to win - let the chips fall where they may.
It has been fun and something we enjoyed doing together. We weren't in first place very long, but did pretty well all things considered, for two gals.
Go Packers.

You have been near the top quite often. I am rather new at actually watching football games so I have usually taken the approach of just going with a consensus of the experts but it seems that at the Playoff stage even the experts ae not that good at predicting the outcomes of the games.

Good luck though.

l2ridehd 01-05-2013 09:12 AM

Weekend play off predictions.

Bengals beat Texans (least certain pick)
Ravens beat Colts
Green Bay beat Vikings
Redskins beat Sea Hawks (emotional pick, I like RGIII)

Taltarzac725 01-06-2013 01:14 PM

Good luck, Indy pickers. Us Baltimore chosers probably hope Luck has a bad time of it this afternoon. Andrew Luck - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cold in Denver

Wow! Glad to see just about everyone had the same picks, GB & Denver. The Seattle/Atlanta game was my toughest choice this week.....did not think I was going to have any problems with yesterday's games. Boy it sure was cold in Denver and OT.

That's true. Most of us had Green Bay and Denver.

I have a relative on the Seattle management but they played so poorly their last outing even if they won I may have to go with Atlanta.

Taltarzac725 01-14-2013 01:19 PM

That Seattle at Atlanta game was quite a nail biter. We will just have to see how Atlanta handles the SF team.

Good luck on Sunday.

Sweetgirl 01-14-2013 04:17 PM

I can't win  It's a 2 man race now, Taltarzac (180) & Villages07 (179). Good Luck and remember The Patriots are going to win Super Bowl 47, that'll get you 2 more points. I'm shooting for The Bronze, currently only 1 point behind. :a040:Goooo Bills Baby:a040:

The Patriots sure are playing the best of the remaining teams. I went to the University of Nevada, Reno and have a special connection with the Niners and their current quarterback Kap. A lot of the people in Reno would root for the Niners too.

Sweetgirl 01-21-2013 03:45 PM

Schmitty, (AARONDONALDCLAY) you should be getting extra points being the only one that picked Baltimore over NE (9 point Favs) Nice Job. That leaves me out of the metal rounds.:cryin2::

That was a very good and nervewracking game between SF and Atlanta. Hope the Baltimore-SF game is as exciting.

Congrats to AaronRonaldClay for getting the Baltimore game right. The Patriots just kind of fell apart.

Taltarzac725 02-03-2013 08:45 AM

Good luck tonight with Superbowl picks. I'll have to go with the Niners because their quarterback is from my alma mater (the University of Nevada, Reno) of my two BAs in Philosophy and History (80,81).

Never even been to Baltimore. Have visited San Francisco many times.

Taltarzac725 02-04-2013 07:17 AM

Congrats to the Baltimore Ravens and their fans. Good game last night. I wonder how many babies will come out of the Night the Lights Went out in NOLA?

A Villager's son does the scoreboard at the Ravens' stadium and seemed to be making bets with each and everybody that would bet her against Baltimore. She now has a lot of collecting to do. I am glad I decided not to bet her agains the Ravens.

We sure had a very competitive Pickem this year with 5 of us within one point of each other in a stepped array.

I wonder what kind of sound effects props they had for that very wet kiss? Was quite gross to watch too.

Sending my congrats too for the picking talents of Taltarzac and also to Z for setting this pool up for us. It was a fun season

Taltarzac725 02-04-2013 01:07 PM

Thanks to Z for setting this up. Now we will just have to watch for March Madness. I usually get really clobbered with some of my picks as the experts rarely get their choices right.

villages07 02-04-2013 01:10 PM

Congrats to Tal.... beat me out by one point. I got clobbered in last week's championship games but picked the Ravens last night.

I am a Redskins fan, but, as a lifelong Marylander, I was rooting for the Ravens last night. Exciting game.

Thanks to Z for setting up the league.

The nerd/beauty queen wet kiss commercial was gross.

Thanks for the Congrats. I even saw a few 2-24 combinations among the Ravens. Just something I look for since watching Miracle about the US Hockey team which beat the Russians and then took Gold at the 1980 Winter Olympics on 2-24. http://www.hometheaterforum.com/t/17...of-two-nations http://www.ocregister.com/sports/his...ry-sports.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_hoc...inter_Olympics http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0349825/

zcaveman 02-04-2013 01:59 PM

Congrats to Tal and thanks to all that played.

It was a pretty close grouping at the end. I need to see if we can do more points for the playoff games (2 for the first round - 4 for the second round, etc). There was not an option to do this. Maybe I can ask Yahoo to add such an option.

Look for the NCAA Playoffs in March.
