Default Where to get the $5 map

We always get a question about the $5 map and where to get it:

You can order the $5 map from the LSL Mercantile store - 352-753-2129.

It has all roads in TV plus all multi-modal (cart path) roads.

They sell the maps at the Shell Station on CR466.

If you get the maps at the Pro shops, you get a 10% discount with your resident ID card.

I'm not sure what you call the place, but we got ours at the desk in the building where the Real Estate office is located in LSL.

I got mine at the store at Arnold Palmer. I don't know what I would do without it..

My first day here, my 15 yo daughter and I took 1hr and 15 mins to go from LSL to our rental home at Belvedere. $5 was the best investment because as others have stated when you pull out a map everyone stops to give you directions and so many people have said to follow them so they could get me back on right path.

Everyone has been great. I will be sad to leave on Tuesday and head back to CT. I can't wait to come back.

If your a member of AAA you can get a map of The Villages for free, but it doesn`t show the cart paths.

BigEast -- Glad you enjoyed your visit. The $5 map is a godsend. I bet the map has to be updated at least once per year with the new construction going on.

I believe the $5 map gets updated and published several times per year.

Try the new map that is available by looking at a pre owned home on Thevillages.com. When you get a listing look at the map and enlarge it. Next zoom in and out and you will even see the cart paths in green. It is a great map and even shows the village names. The best thing is that it is online as the $5.00 map will ware out and fall apart. Trust me on that one I have gone through 4 already. Now if they would only make the enlarged map full screen they would really have something. Also a toggle to a satellite view is needed. The new map is using Google Earth do this can all be done.

I have sent my ideas to my sales rep and the VCDD and both said they will pass it along. I will try and contact the IT department tomorrow.
