49 Moments Carnival Guests Miss About Cruising

Forty-nine years ago, the first Carnival Cruise Line ship, TSS Mardi Gras, sailed for the first time out of Port Miami. It ushered in an era of fun, affordable vacations that were the domain of the rich and famous.

Of course, the line has had many industry firsts and grew steadily to be the world leader in the cruise industry. The cruise line has now carried more than 90 million guests, and it is the flagship cruise line of Carnival Corporation.

Started cruising on Carnaval but now I know better! I learned a lot and saw even more! Some of the best shows were performed at the Buffet ... I graduated to Holland & Celebrity to avoid the Carnies...

I ventured onto Carnival once - only once. Cheap cruise, but that goes with the neighborhood. Now, a few hundred nights under my belt with Royal Caribbean, and I'm a happy camper.

We had a blast on our Carnival Cruise last year. We got the Cheers package, attended all the shows, participated in Trivia games, enjoyed the food and the ports. I would love to go again as soon as they are up and running normally again.
