http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...a/towers-2.jpg Another view. The Coast Guard House restaurant was an original coast guard life saving station built in 1888. The Towers (1888)were built to access The Grand Casino Hotel from the beach. The history of New England is amazing!! This area was very prestigious in the late 1800's with grand hotels all along Ocean Rd. All the hotels were lost to fires! Here is a link for more info, http://www.thecoastguardhouse.com/history.html
