When I first saw that tunnel sitting there on a flat piece of property (post #1), I just shook my head and smiled. The amount of dirt moved around is really amazing and fun to watch. I used to do this kind of stuff with my Tonka trucks :D

Keep the pictures coming ajbrown! So very, very interesting. Thanks for posting.

Probably in the new "Village of Sanibel" The entry signs for which are already in place at the first traffic circle on Morse opposite the new fire headquarters.

A neighbor told me he could see at least a dozen rooftops in that area this morning.

Somehow I missed this post until I saw someone else reply to it or I would have responded. Last week it sure looked to me like they were pouring slabs in Sanibel! Can hardly wait until this weekend :)

I am not a photographer, just a guy out for a ride in the golf cart on a lovely evening that has a camera. Here are some shots from Sanibel which I had posted on another thread.

More from contractors. They have started what will be a 39 unit model center. Plumbers and electricians have been working and slabs are being poured.

39?!? Wow, that's a lot of models!

Cottage? Designer? If there will be 39, I'm wondering if they will be both cottage and designer.

The houses are definitely going up and quickly. Took a quick trip through the area last night and took a few pictures.

Has anybody ever stopped you going into a restricted area? I thought about it myself but after reading all the warning signs I figured I better not.

Hi Spk,
Thanks for the sneak peaks. Wow, I didn't realize they were already building houses. I hope we get to find out who is the first "trailblazer" to buy a home in Brownwood.

The fences that were across the golf cart paths have been removed.

I just noticed they are back up. I saw they were removed the other day when I went as far as the tunnel on my way to Publix, but for some reason we're blocked out again.

Seems to me they did the same thing along Morse Blvd. For a while you could drive down there, then the fence was not only put back but reinforced. Maybe a curious villager took them down?

Ventured down to look at progress

It was a beautiful Sunday evening, the lovely wife at home with visiting sisters and my job to take Caly for a ride. Once again Caly ran away into the area south of 466A on Morsehttp://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...angelic002.gif . I had to go in and get her. I am glad she does that on Sunday evenings when no workers around we would bother. While I was there I grabbed some pictures, nothing great, but shows some progress. Even my cart is different! NEW pictures start after the picture of the bull dozer....

http://s1002.photobucket.com/albums/...view=slideshow

PS. Caly and I DID NOT do this, it was like that when we got there.

Bill-n-Brillo 05-09-2011 02:13 PM

So now you and Caly are "escaped felons", eh? :1rotfl:

Thanks for posting your photos, as always aj. Nice for us to be able to keep up with the goings-on from up north!

Bill :)

Love the pix. Thanks!

Pturner 05-09-2011 07:22 PM

The photos are great. Thanks Caly and AJ.

question on area south of 466a

I have a question. When I look at the map, there is a structure accross the street from the Bonify Country Club, not sure what this structure is. Can somebody answer this

Jhooman 05-09-2011 08:42 PM

Thank you for your secret pictures! It's amazing how quickly this planned community develops.

I am not sure what map you mean, but I did see this structure to the left in this picture (Bonifay over the cart). I jokingly call it "The Planetarium". Twice a week there will be half priced happy hour from 4 - 6, directly followed by laser shows. I cannot wait for Pink Floyd night :jester:

New bldg by firehouse

Left the bubble for two weeks and now I see a new building just east of the future firehouse. Does anyone know if this is the future home of the Sarasota driving range/golf academy?

batman911 05-10-2011 11:43 AM

I believe the mystery structure to be a water tank. Looks to be on a hill high enough to avoid the need for a water tower.

It sure looks like that type of building. I know that is the location of the Sarasota Range, as you can see the tees are already graded, but I had no idea we were getting a new academy and was surprised to see that buidling. I was down there last evening (without camera :() and it is taking shape. The buidling has three bays that face directly out into the water (north) where the range balls will be hit. These sure look like teaching bays like they have at Palmer. If it is true that would be a great....

2BNTV 07-03-2011 08:11 AM

Thanks for the pictures as they were great.

Did Caly sign in at the office? :)

I asked the question the other day when I was at the golf academy at Palmer. The new building next to the new firehouse will be a golf teaching/club repair facility. Supposed to be larger than the facility at Palmer. Projected opening is late Sept or early Oct 2011.

:D

I am sure she would, but...... We are all up in MA enjoying the summer. Looking at pictures in other threads that whole area may be all done by the time fall comes. Caly will be running off to a place on BV south of 466A I suspect by then. That tunnel sitting there at ground level from the first post (link below) in this thread is one of my favorites, especially seeing what the area looks like now. Have fun....

Yeah... I remember it... I just missed his "running off" I wondered what happened!!!
