It was fall of 2000 when I visited NYC and, with some friends, went atop the WTC. This digital pic was taken at sunset. |
Re: My Favorite Pics
Coney, the beauty in TV is man made. Why would you leave such natural splendor?

This is a pic of the Savage Rapids Dam. Before I purchased my property, I lived in a rental home across the road, and I walked the dog every morning at the dam! The SRD has been removed....... because it was considered a threat to the salmon. Samhass.... you are so correct.... this area has awesome natural beauty, especially the Rogue River. The bottom line is - the long, dreary winter, the black-ice, the frost on cars & roads, living in the boonies with less choices for activities. I dunno :dontknow: |

This pic was taken in one of Oregon's State Parks (don't remember which one). I enhanced it with a "mirage" filter on PhotoSuite4 software. |

Re: My Favorite Pics
CIB,
You and Rhonda have such talent. I can tell how much you love the surrounding beauty. You are right to want to get to TV asap though, it's beauty lies in the folks who live there. md blondie btw I love the rainbows |
Re: My Favorite Pics
Yes, Blondie..... TV's beauty is in its residents ;D

Re: My Favorite Pics
Your photos are fantastic. The beauty around you is amazing!
Do you have your house listed on a FSBO site? I suggest you post some of these photos, with the views you have from your house. These photos alone should make the sale for you! Seeing the corner of the WTC building makes me very sad. :'( |
Re: My Favorite Pics
Bestmickey..... thank you !
Yes, I do have my FSBO listed with several free listing sites and I have a bunch of the house photos on picturetrail - my member name is rosejolie. My problem in selling is TIMING...... I bought high and won't sell low ! I guess I can hang in until the market improves. It's the long, bleak winter that gets me down. |

Good Luck to you and continue with the fantastic pictures. |
Re: My Favorite Pics
CIB: Great great photos. Your home is beautiful. You are very talented. It is really hard to make decisions to move. I love in beautiful Bucks County, PA. No prettier place in this country (for it's own unique qualities). But I truly understand having to decide about the trade off: beautiful in the spring, summer and fall v. bleak and gray during the long long winter. Wish I could be a snowbird but I can't. So, I just decided to buy in TV with the long term plan of moving there full time in about 8 mths. The main kicker for me was lifestyle and the cost of real estate/taxes. Can't beat both of those in TV. After that decision was made, it was a no brainer. Hope the decision becomes easier with time. Please keep the pics coming.

Re: My Favorite Pics
Most of my 4-acres is "in the woods" where there are lots of critters, lots of deer and even a bear was sighted recently. This Bambi comes to visit every evening at around 8 pm and grazes on the tender new grass that I have been watering just for her. I took this pic yesterday as she was close to the house (I'm inside, shooting the pic through the window) during the daytime:
