It's beak pierces its prey, which is the equivalent in size of a deer being pierced by a traffic cone, then it liquifies preys organs and sucks them dry.
It has some nasty habits!

Thanks for sharing that, I guess! Seriously, that thing looks more like a mosquito, or hybrid of that and a fly. Interesting what nature can concoct! Wondering, with a “beak” like that if it can sting humans, like mosquitoes and some flies do.

A bug recently flew into my sister's eye and actually broke a blood vessel. She saw the eye doctor yesterday and examined it. Fortunately there was no infection from it.
