Tee Times as a single Lady

I am looking at relocating to FL in next 3-6 months, and my first choice is TV. My concern in deciding (among many other things) is how difficult is it to get a a TT as a single in TV? I prefer a TT 9-10ish AM. I have NO problem here with 8+ courses in hot springs village as I play as a single most days. Golfers from here, that have played there, keep telling me how difficult it is to get on,and one of their biggest complaints...I play at least 18 and sometimes 36 on any day, and I play 5-7 days a week. I do NOT mind being put in with 3somes/2somes etc. Just so I can play!! I play with the guys mostly, not that many women here playing as often as me.Is it common there for ladies to be put in groups with the guys?? Also what size is the ladies 18-hole golf league in TV? Ours is apx 200-225 members, so have to sign up pretty fast for league/game day!

As a single player you will be able to easily play twice a day. I play everyday and at least 3 times a week I play twice a day. I pick my times from 33 executive great courses. I have played 28 times so far this month, which means I have meant over 80 great people already this month! If you love golf you will LOVE it here!
Just my opinion.

The best way to experience The Villages is to do Lifestyle visit or rent for a month+.

always find out what those who complain about the t times are complaining about.

If one follows the rules....a huge challenge here in TV....of the system there is no problem getting a t time and playing golf any day of the year.

We have been here 10 years and have NEVER not obtained a t time on any day we have ever put in....slow season/busy season/etc.

The complaints start when folks can't get their favorite course at their favorite time. The rest of us are quite happy playing every single day and sometimes twice if we choose to do so.

Every one of the posts above and the posters are right.

Come and stay for awhile and see if you like this place.

I play as a female single most of the time, and play frequently. With TV tee time system, it is always easy to choose from a list of tee times which has one player available. I have NEVER had a problem with the guys or ladies I have played with-always gracious and friendly! Great experiences meeting new people.

We have looked at Hot Springs Villages for relocation along with TV and others. Any reason you are looking to move from Hot Springs. May help us in our decision making. Thanks.

Tee times

The first thing I did was sign up for the village.net at 8$ per month and that opens up the villages tee time system. I play almost every day and love meeting new people. With the village.net tee time system you can see what tee times are open at what courses.

It gets cold there

:crap2: Snow, it does get cold and ice and snow was what we didn't want during the winter! Also, better like pine trees as there are lots and lots of them.

Other than that---it's great and cheaper too.

As a single you can play golf everyday in TV.

T times

Playing the championship courses, you should have no problem playing as often as you want. If your going to play that often, get a priority membership.

This is true:

And there are other avenues for golf accessibility. For example many clubs
(Village Single Baby Boomers for example) have regular scheduled golf outings.

Once you are here you could become a priority member
or if you do find golfers that you play golf with ..they can put you in their foursome when they book. (Then just check Village net for tee times

I wasn't clear on if you wanted to play a regulation 18 hole course, or a par 3 executive course. The executive courses are only 9 holes. If you want to play 18 on an executive you'd have to make separate tee times for each nine, and you may end up with your second nine being at another course. Anyways, I just went online to see what was available in case I wanted to go out as a single tomorrow for example. There were around 20-25 tee times available in your time slot for a regulation course, and about 5 for the executive courses, for a single. With a priority membership ($740 for a single for the year, for all the courses), you get a reduced rate on the regulation courses. Executive courses would be free. The rates on the regulation golf courses average about $35 per round with the priority membership this time of year. The rates go down in the summer and off months. You can spend an additional $8 per month to have access to the online tee time system where you can make tee time reservations in advance. You can also make reservations for free via a telephone system, but it is cumbersome. Everyone I know pays the $8 monthly fee. Hope this helps!

You can be a Priority member of 1,2 or all the clubs. (with variations in cost).

During the non peak times the accessibility is increased due to lower demand do to the snowbird exodus.

Also you can play certain executive courses back to back for 18holes (@no green fee)

well, if you PM I can tell you more, ...Pros:(and there are a LOT of them) ....it's a beautiful place, fully gated/24 hr manned/..friendly,play any golf course you want with no tee time on any day, just walk on, the courses are some of the BEST conditioned I've ever played, you get a LOT OF HOUSE FOR THE MONEY!!!!..this is more of a quiet lakeside mountain community. ...Cons for me: I hate 4-seasons.I dislike spring, winter the most. I'm from Nashville TN area/same reason I left there, HATE the weather there. I lived most of my life in south La, and just miss the coastal weather, fresh seafood, yadayada and I don't want to have to drive a car 15 minutes away to go to the mall! The nearest big town town is Hot Springs and is nearly 13 miles from my house(for Sams Club, Lowes etc) we do have basics like grocery, Drs dentist, walmart, walgreens etc, otherwise for BIG stores, hospitals, movies etc is 15-20 minutes away :( !!!!.. I am just ready to move on...my hubby LOVES EVERYTHING ABOUT HERE or we would have been gone a lot sooner! LOL, He will be 55,and I am 48, I am just ready to move and try something new. This TV sounds like the best place next to where I am...PS, I found out about TV from several groups /neighbors etc that have moved from TV to here.
