Please repair my divots
I played Hawks Bay yesterday. I must have repaired 10 divots per green, but sometimes I couldn't find mine.
I love our courses and we all need to help keep them in great shape. |

No worries... I will fix yours next Tuesday!
|
And rake the sand traps please.
|
On the green they are "pitch marks" not divots. Divots are taken with irons and woods where the ball lies. You put sand in them. You wouldn't want someone to call you by the wrong name would you? :-)

i'm not a golfer but my other half is and has been for many years. I've heard it said in our home that there are many/many who don't know the rules of the game. There "might" be a few who don't care. It's unfortunate that folks don't care for how they treat property. Wonder what they'd think of someone came into their yards and did the like to their lawn??!!

All along I thought they were called ball marks !
|
Do they truly not know about golf etiquette?
Do they not want to know? Do they know but just don't care? All of the above. |

Ball marks = pitch marks. You just hear them called ball marks much more frequently.
|
Whatever you call them just fix them please. I have never have been politically correct.
|
Not finding fault at all. That was just an FYI. I agree...fixing them is what matters. Call them anything you want. :)
