Never ending dust accumulation!?!?

It has been several years since the new construction has moved far enough south of us that I tend to eliminate it as a contributor (we are near Arnold Palmer CC).

There is more dust accumulation here than any place we have ever lived. One can dust a surface and within a couple of days it begins to show again.

During pollen season(s) dusting is a daily requirement on the lanai and bird cage areas.

Anybody else think it is "dustier" here?

Yes....wish I had bought white furniture instead of cherry!

So that is why furniture generally is light colored here in Florida. We learned early on to not worry about outside windows unless you want to wash them every other day.

The dust blowing across 466a from Trailwinds Development this afternoon was incredible; made a run to Lowe's and as much as that water truck was trying to keep the ground wet, it wasn't happening.

This is the dustiest place we've ever lived. (Tamarind Grove, no construction going on) I can't figure out why.

Lime stone quarry next to Fenney

Got dusted at Southern Star yesterday. It was wild to see it moving towards us. Also I just cleaned my porch 2 days ago. Dirty again.

My hubby says that it is because of all the landscapers blowing all the dust around all day which makes sense to me.

I do think so. And this is a lalapalooza of a pollen season. Everyone is walking around with a tissue to their nose and squinty swollen eyes.

Do you think we should blame someone????

JUST KIDDING.

I don't know why it is so dirty here.

We live in Fenney and now that the construction is north and east of us the only dust we have is yellow pollen and quite a lot of it, wasn't this bad last spring. We never experienced dust coming up from the southern limestone quarries, I think all the trees between Fenney and the quarries prevented it from getting up this far.

Pollen is one thing, but added to that is the never-ending dust we see in Santiago area- just amazing, and annoying! Not sure if the areas under construction have more; I would think so. Is it living in the South? Not enough rain? Who knows, but apparently it’s bad everywhere.

It doesn't notice so much if you dont make marks or disturb it.
I read an article once that said it never gets any worse if left undisturbed for six months.
We are 3 months into giving that theory a trial. :icon_wink:

Are you feeling okay Gracie
. I just never have heard you say anything that wasn't positive this is the second in a short time.
