Double shooting in CHAZ one dead
 

One man is dead and another is wounded after a shooting in Seattle's 'Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone,' also known as CHAZ or CHOP.

The shooting occurred at around 2.20am on Saturday near a barricaded entrance to the protest camp, as the anti-police occupation entered its second week in downtown Seattle.

Police said in a statement that a 19-year-old male victim had died, and another of an unknown age had life-threatening injuries and was in unknown condition.

Seattle Police said they encountered 'a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims' as they responded to the shooting.

Why in the world are they allowing this to continue. Hope they are not allowing anything to go into this zone.

Until they shut off the utilities this will go on for months. Remember this an official “Summer of Love” event....

They get lots of free food, water etc every day.

Gosh I hope they were wearing masks.

It will probably end November 4th.

Frankly, I am surprised something like this did not happen there sooner. Will the perp be arrested and tried by the court of CHAZ?

Based what I'm hearing and reading this might be over on July 4th.

Frankly I couldn't care less. Seattle deserves everything it gets.

The longer CHAZ continues, the more credibility the movement loses.

Did they send the survivor to a CHAZ hospital or out of the country to a hospital in Seattle. I wonder if they had to do that will CHAZ pay his medical bills?
