This study sounds as much or maybe more promising than any others. Stop trying to demonize the Chinese as they may very well save lives.

Considering their complicity and being a communist state I would hazard a guess that initial confidence to take their vaccine would be rather low.

I don't know. The old adage is: You break it, you fix it!

Would sure like to see US institutions weighing in on the safety.

China has had a lot longer to prepare a vacine, and if they do have a viable approved one, should give it away to the rest of the world as recompence for starting the global medical and financial disaster in the first place!

It's time to realize/acknowledge that many countries are ahead of us in many areas.

HIgh speed trains (Europe, Japan), education (Finland), response to gun violence (New Zealand), etc. This ain't 1955.

Yeah, so nobody is going to do your research for you -- but use whatever google machine you have and just look up USA international rankings. Pay special attention to:

1. healthcare
2. life expectancy
3. education
4. infant mortality rate
5. incarceration #'s
6. military budget
7. Environmental performance
8. Quality of life index
9. Any other metric that floats your boat

Thanks for the suggestion. I researched and found the US falling in rankings for the last 3 years.

Sorry, but for a country such as China that cares nothing for it's people, I doubt I would trust any vaccine originating there. Then again, I have no intention on taking one that comes from here either. Haven't had a flu shot in 50 years and have no intention of getting that either. I will encourage my spouse to get a U.S. vaccination for the virus if it comes out before everyone becomes immune to the virus. She gets her yearly flu shot, since she has health problems. Just my opinion but I think that folks ought to get tested for antibodies before getting a vaccination. It seems redundant to get the shot if you are already immune to a disease. But, I am just speculating since I am not a health care professional. After all, this is just a conversation of folks with opinions, right?

Yes, high speed trains, they have never caught on in America. It could be because of our much greater distances, a well developed airline industry, and the convenience of cars and low gas prices. Regarding education, you need to be more specific. If you are talking about Universities then we are the gold standard as the rest of the world comes here for college. Response to gun violence? Our gun rights are protected. Also, about 60% of all gun deaths are suicide. A lot of the others are gang related. Yes, other countries might have less gang related gun deaths.
