NY Yankees get Covid again
 
Just a few months ago eight members of the Yankees organization tested positive for Covid. Now six more players on the 25 man active roster have tested positive. Five of them had been vaccinated…

I hope so. There are sporadic reports that the delta variant is breaking through the vaccinations. I hope not... sigh.

WHO CARES? If they are not vaccinated they have made their choice. Nobody cares anymore. Ignore the media, they are just trying to scare you. On top of that, it is the Yankees so nobody who matters cares anyway. Everyone hates the Yankees

A total of 14 positive cases among the players and staff and 13 were vaccinated!

This is wildly wrong and irresponsible. It is the UNvaccinated population that is responsible for the major upswing in new cases, more deaths, and increasing the risk of new mutations. Yes, vaccinated people can "carry" the virus, and vaccinated people can get sick with it, and die from it. But 99% of the deaths are in unvaccinated people. No vaccine is 100% effective. The Covid vaccines are damn good and those who are refusing to get them, and those who cheer at political events in support of vaccine refusers are responsible for this mess starting up again. There is a big difference between freedom and freedumb. And the difference is killing people, again.

Simple question. If owners are paying baseball players millions of dollars to play, and if they can’t pass on the virus because they’ve been vaccinated, then why are they being quarantined?

UK uses the same jab we are and hate to inform you but...Non sterilizing vaccines have limits and the person that receives will still carry the virus and give to others...also mutations occur trying to avoid the immune response from the vaccine and not as quickly from a unvaccinated person...a little research will show that this is proven science and known for many years...not sure why the CDC is not up front on this...hmm

I hate to inform you but you are still 100% wrong. What kind of doctor are you given your user name? Because you certainly do not understand immunology or medical statistics nor even display the honesty to report what your own link actually reports.

It says that in the UK they include persons as being immunized who have had only a single dose. And the article very clearly and carefully explains how those with a single dose are less protected against the disease compared to those who have had both doses.

is complete garbage. A virus is not "trying to avoid the immune response" It is not thinking and sneaking around inside you. The greater number of viral particles present, the more likely one will mutate. Period. So if a person is immunized even if they are infected they will have fewer viral particles, thus a lower chance that one mutates. This has been known for years. The CDC is not lying to us, you are.

Your statement that vaccinated people are the cause of mutations and the ongoing and increasing Covid pandemic is simply wrong and reflects what I strongly suspect is an anti-vaccine ignorance on your part. Your lies have consequences if even one person decides not to get immunized because of the garbage you are writing.

CDC is not up front because that is not true. Please provide some peer reviewed study link that makes that claim.

When media or influencers spread disinformation that can result in people losing their lives, I would like to see the AG begin investigations into these companies or individuals. And if it can be proven that the spreader KNEW it was false, then the AG should press charges amounting 1st degree murder.

Freedom of Speech does not extend to putting peoples lives in danger.

Maybe if a few people are held legally responsbile for the deaths they cause, others will start to think twice. At this point, spreading inflammatory disinformation has no consequences except to enrich the people spreading the lies.

Notice please, that I did not say which side is spreading the lies. If there is a lie being spread I don't care if it is FOX or CNN. If they know it is a lie, and it it puts peoples lives in danger, they should be prosecuted.

So what?!

My mom - just died - do you care what she died of? I recently read a book about a family who was murdered. Last night I listened to a podcast about a town hit by a natural disaster where hundreds died.

I could go on and on……. put it this way - I pray my mom would have been simply impacted with Covid (the odds of her survival would have been astronomically greater)….. I am sure that family I read about - would have volunteered to have Covid rather than encountering an evil human being ——— you get the picture - right?

Just be happy for this team - that the worse obstacle they have to overcome is Covid…… it could be a h*ll of a lot worse.

We *ALL* face challenges in life - unfortunately some people face worse challenges than others…… life is not fair. Believe me - there are probably millions++ of people who would trade their situation for a Covid positive - I know I would!!!! in a heartbeat!

I wish people would put things in perspective….
