Supreme Court Strikes Down OSHA Covid Vaccination Mandate

At least for now the separate mandate for healthcare workers remains in place.

Considering you must be Vaccinated, masked and receive a negative Covid test to enter the Supreme Court.
They care only about themselves!

Mandates be damned!

Sure.....keep the health care workers protected with vaccine mandates. We need them to take care of those people who refuse vaccination and wind up hospitalized.

Healthcare workers should have a choice. After all they worked without proper PPE. Survival for more than a year before vaccine, facilities furloughed staff leaving a massive shortage. Some who worked, and became ill, made them use vacation time.

Many resigned, or took retirement, if their facilities demanded to be vaccinated. The government can now thin the herd, little more.

They do have a choice. They can get a vaccine or they can find another job. The healthcare worker mandate refers only to facilities that treat medicare and medicaid patients. If you are a health care worker in a facility that doesn't accept either of them, you're not obligated by law to vaccinate. Your boss might require it as a condition of employment anyway though and that would be his/her right as a business owner.

Was that verdict ever in doubt?

When I'm feeling that way, sh^t happens.............so I was concerned.

My small brain that it was crazy, crazy OSHA over-reach.

As you said, "many resigned or took retirement". THAT was their choice. Choices have consequences.

Smh……the vax does not stop you from getting, spreading and ending up in hospital. My mom just lost a fully vax friend to Covid.

Was your Mom's friend boosted? Was your Mom's friend immunocompromised? If you are going to offer anecdotal information, it would be more significant if all the information were disclosed.

As an aside......I'm aware vaccinated die every day but are their deaths BECAUSE of Covid or WITH Covid? The data so overwhelmingly has shown that it is the UN-vaccinated who are hospitalized (something like 85% -90%) and are dying of Covid, not the vaccinated and boosted who have healthy immune systems. But.....I imagine you already knew that.

Probably not. Those that have some belief, no matter how bizarre, like the anti-vaxxers, will always find a way to reinforce their position, whether it be with like minded people or bogus internet sites. So, no, I imagine that person did not already know the facts.

Trust me, a health care worker that decided to separate from their current job has WAY more options than someone sick requiring medical care in a setting short staffed for WHATEVER reason. Was It Ever About COVID? Hospitals Ask Infected Staff to Cut Sick Leave Short, Return to Work Amid Labor Shortage

I bet if it was the Ebola virus, they would have upheld the mandate. Now in the future, the federal government can’t try to protect its citizens if a real nasty like Ebola was to strike. I think the Supreme Court just allowed politics to enter its doors. Sad day.
