Yamaha Lithium is here....

And they are "boasting" 105ah...LOL
RoyPow battery
38 miles of range..Booo

Yamaha Golf Car PowerTech Li - Yamaha Golf Car

Its like they put near zero effort into this....
Maybe the PTV version will have a bigger battery...But that would make sense, so probably not :)
It would also make sense to have turn signals and the comfy seat standard in the PTV...That not going to happen.
But, hey! What can you expect for $15K? ...HeHe.

38 mile range, while driven on a flat track?? uhhhh

Speedie 01-25-2022 11:18 AM

Stop and charge for an hour or two at the 9th hole turn

Tyrone Shoelaces 01-25-2022 12:04 PM

What happened to all that "New Leader" trash talk?
disappointing

Bring a long extension cord and you're good.

Just like a Tesla

Apparently The Villages isn't the focus of this new Li powered cart. The golf course market is the intended customer.

fdpaq0580 01-25-2022 05:50 PM

No, thank you.

My old gassed will probably outlive me. No need to change and spend so much money for so much less cart.
It's only a golf cart, after all. Better things to spend that money on.

😏

MorTech 01-26-2022 04:05 AM

I doubt TVGC wants to sell any electric cart that won't go at least 50 miles on a charge. I wouldn't either.

Yeah..."The Leaderboard is Changing"..LOL

What does MBA stand for? Mindless Blathering A------

Golf54 01-26-2022 06:45 AM

I expect within a year they will have a Village version with 2 108ah batteries.

OhioBuckeye 01-26-2022 07:27 AM

Yea, wait until they have to buy another Lithium battery, expensive! Electric transportation just to get 40 miles in a golf cart & maybe 150 miles in a new $80,000. car is a joke. Our country is starting to be a joke! Do what you want but not me!

Downhill.

Bay Kid 01-26-2022 08:10 AM

So after 15-20 miles you start to worry about your next charge. Kind of like smoking cigarettes.

Give me gas.

ca21455 01-26-2022 08:15 AM

For Yamaha to say they the industry leader is BS. Evolution has a 180 ah battery and easily goes over 60 miles on a charge.
Replacement batteries are running under $2,000 and will be better and cheaper in the future.
Current experience life of Lithium batteries is well over 5 years.

talonip 01-26-2022 08:22 AM

Star Sirius EV

Just bought one. 210 lithium. 70-80 miles. Battery gauge but you can use the battery app on iPhone to get a better look at your range and charge. Lots of features.
