GE loses Villages appliance contract (SIAP)

Sorry if already posted (SIAP)

Beginning soon ( by contract) all appliance will be Whirlpool.

Fields Co will service . Whirlpool does not have corporate maintenance.

GE was underbid significantly.

Developer compensated with large signing fee. ( over 1 million)

Info from fiend at Whirlpool.

So unless he is wrong ..........

Really? Wow, that's nice, though I've been fortunate and not had problems with my GE appliances, but I know MANY have. On any day, you'd see one or two, maybe more, GE service trucks somewhere in TV.

Devilishly funny. Typo, I presume. :1rotfl:

p.s., I'm not a fan of Whirlpool, but I still got a big kick out of the post.

As my refrigerator howls and the dishwasher grinds away I say good riddance to GE. Too late for me but good for future buyers.

..........

I'm sure the developer was only interested in getting a quality product at a fair price, and that million dollar plus signing bonus had no affect on his final decision:confused::confused:

Makes me wonder....

Just how many Whirlpool customers will be told they need to run the faucet until its hot in order to use the dishwasher.....even though it has a 2 hr delay setting.

Wow. Those are some pretty strong undocumented or unproven statements about the "signing fee" and the bid. I hope the posted info from the "fiend" at Whirlpool does not cause issues for you.

golfnut 11-12-2010 05:25 PM

i heard the signing fee was $100,000,000...ng

Needs the money to pay a poaching fine.

To late

I for one am glad GE is gone. Took me 4 months to get my refrigerator replaced by GE. Their appliances have really gone down the tubes:a040::a040:. Glad for the new people they're gone.
