This man reminds me of someone. I wonder who?

"Well, it was one of you!"

Forrest Gump?

The cast away?

Rita Wilson produced this one. She is the real life wife of Tom Hanks.

We listened to the book the move is based on, “A Man Called Ove” on CD during one of our drives to the Villages last year. It was a very enjoyable book and we are looking forward to watching the movie. The main character, Ove, is truly a curmudgeon many Villagers can relate to.

I will have to look into that book.

Ohhhh, nooooo, Tal, I did I not know it was a movie.

Now, I will have to find it and watch it. The book made me cry — but not all in a bad way.

Boomer………sniff, sniff, boohoooooo

Not out until December or January. Depends where you live.

Amazon Prime has the original movie, A Man Called Ove, free or to rent. It's in Swedish but subtitled. It's very good, and I will be looking forward to seeing Tom Hanks in this. The book was fabulous.

We read this book “ A Man Called Ove “ (originally written in Swedish), in my Bookclub. It was wonderfully received by our members and I am so excited it will be released on Christmas Day with Tom Hanks playing Ove…Otto. If you are interested in seeing the Swedish movie you can find it by streaming on YouTube or Crackle with closed captions. It’s such a heart warming story and yes, he does remind me of some of the curmudgeons that live in TV. The book reminds us that most grumpy people are going through something tragic in their lives and a little kindness can change everything. It’s a good reminder to all of us to be kind, you never know what is going on in people’s lives.

Probably won’t be available on Netflix for some time. It will be released in theaters on 12/25. You can watch the Swedish release on YouTube. It’s called A Man Called Ove and has closed captions.

I haven't seen a flick on the big screen for a long time - the last one I saw was Ford vs. Ferrari. Looks like this one will be a good one to see.

I hope that they get ARC approval to show it. HAHA

“Ford vs. Ferrari” had been the last one I saw in a theater, too. (Loved it……Vrooooom, Vroooooom)

But then last summer we saw “Top Gun Maverick”because there are some movies that just must be seen on the big screen.

Btw, does anybody know how to pronounce the man’s name in the original “A Man Called Ove”? Is it like ‘over’ or like ‘love’?

Boomer
