Where to get authentic Italian cold cut Subs

Can not find any down here. I am talking like the white house in Atlantic city. Fresh Italian meats, oil not mayo, the whole deal. Please help my wife and I out. Merry Christmas.

"authentic Italian cold cut Subs?"
If you wish "authentic Italian" I would suggest a trip to Italy. Their subs are probably "authentic."

I think the OP was pretty clear he was talking about Italian cold cuts and he explained exactly the type of sub. My grandmother, who immigrated to Boston from Genoa, would consider her sandwiches authentic Italian. I've never been to Italy but had plenty of authentic Italian subs.

Yup. I'm only part time there so I can't answer your question. But the timing was of your thread was ironic. Last night I was trying a fairly new sandwich shop here in Westminster, Massachusetts and they had an Italian sub. Mortadella, capicola, Genoa salami, provolone, with onions, pickles, tomato, oil and hots. The menu also had mayo on it, which I thought was strange. I removed the mayo and it was very good, almost like what I grew up with in East Boston.

I miss little Italy areas in cities we visited, or china town with ducks hanging in the window.

We like White House, but we eat at Sack O Subs in Ocean City many more times.
It’s not an Italian Sandwich like Italy, it’s an Italian Hoagie, like South Philly (i.e Angelos).

I’ve been on the search for a sandwich from home, the closest is Jersey Mikes.
Haven’t found a good cheese steak or real pizza place yet.
There’s a Philly themed food truck that sometimes is at LSL, havent tried their cheese steaks yet.

Yes, about as fresh as you can get. The other option would be to make it yourself if it’s only “Italian meat and oil”. I found this online.

You're in Florida now. Good luck. I'm still searching for a good pizza and bakery. The best subs I found were Jersey Mike's Jersey shore sub. Reminds me of home.

Sorry I can't help. The only sandwich I long for is, sadly, a distant memory. A stand in Alhambra, California, circa 1960's and 70's, called The Hat. Served either a roast beef dip or a pastrami dip. A crusty Italian loaf cut in half, piled very high with beef or pastrami, then submerged in a cauldron of au jus for the beef or a cauldron of (?) pastrami jus, wrapped in butcher paper and served dripping with juice and a huge pickle. When they changed bread supplier it just didn't quite taste the same. Like when someone you love passes, you may still find people who are wonderful, but jut not the same.
Remember the way it was, but don't expect the new to be clones of your past. Be thankful for your good memories.
