Would the developer ever buy Continental Country Club?
 

I know it's a stretch, but seems like it would offer the developer a good footprint in an area that's highly valued. As for the homes there, it's not that different than the "Historic section" of TV.

Seems that if TV residents could have full access to that property that it would add some golf options and many more miles of golf cart paths to venture on including potential access to the new Walmart being built.

Just like Greenland, it’s not for sale.

Why? When they got plenty of land to build on and plenty of houses in pipe line.

I know many of the residents there, they would oppose it.

When the developer bought the property splitting Eagle wood mobile home park, to build Brownwood bridge, many wondered why the smaller section of that mobile home park wasn’t included to make TV commercial property larger. That property is for sale, yet developer didn’t buy.

My guess is why buy an entire modular home community, if they could just buy rights for whatever needs to be built? Or why doesn’t Walmart buy it, since it could benefit their sales. Then again Walmart knows people are going to shop there with or without a cart access

Why? Why purchase liability? If I owned many high end cars and someone offered an AMC Gremlin to me for sale, why would I buy it? It isn’t like there is a lack of land availability to build many more new homes.

We love The Villages
 

We love The Villages. The roads, the flowers, the landscaping, is all so beautiful and that area is a dive. They would have way too much to repair if they bought that and it would be next to all those apartments.

Let me take a WAG. You live around the RT 44 area.

Driving by looks nothing special to me.

It's far from "special" and one the most poorly designed and confusing developments/golf courses I've ever been in.

Guessing is all any of us can do. Either the area was not for sale or not wanted by The Developer. I personally think that the Morse family has generally done very well for those living in The Villages and also continues to learn and make decisions that are good for all of us and our property values.

There was 10’ For Sale sign in the front of that part of Mobil park. It went up shortly after “The First To Cross Brownwood Bridge” caravan on December 23, 2020.The sign has been made larger, but still For Sale.

I know that for a fact because we were the first to cross the Brownwood Bridge, and with the first Feline in the group to ever participate in a TV promoted event.

Did TV buy the golf course RV park on 301 at 470? It was sold but I'm not sure who bought it.

Rumors floated around some time ago that the developer did buy the golf course only. It was short lived.
