Not just another picture of batteries from AJ

My Dad just got new batteries for his cart and they do look great, but not the reason I posted the picture. Can you spot anything special in this picture ?

Nice place to store a tow rope.

Battery cap's not snugged down tight, perhaps? :jester:

snake...........

gmcneill 07-12-2011 06:57 AM

So, was your dad charged up about getting a free snake or did he consider it a negative? BTW: I appreciate such a positive post so early in the morning, but please excuse any spelling errors, I am writing this on my cell.

(yes, all 4 puns above are intended)

ajbrown 07-12-2011 06:59 AM

You would think my Dad would know better!

Dad is always talking about how important it is to keep the battery terminals clean and look at his :D!

Geesh, even at this age, apparently it never changes with parents....do as I say, not as I do. ;)

Any idea of what type of snake it was?

missypie 07-12-2011 07:13 AM

Oh that gives me the woolies! Was his golf cart parked in the garage or anywhere else where the snake could make his way in? Really scarey!!!!:22yikes:

2BNTV 07-12-2011 08:37 AM

 Did the snake get zapped?

What did he do to get rid of it?

nitehawk 07-12-2011 08:46 AM

Is this the new battery anti-theft device ???

I never thought of the snake shorting a battery, it was smart enough to not touch both terminals. How conductive is a snake anyway :D?

The whole story is as follows as told by my Dad. I am no reporter, so consider this like one of those movies that are based on a true story.

Garage was closed when they came home. Saw a snake in the corner behind some shovels and other stuff. My step Mom approached the snake to "shoo" it away and it "charged" her. The word charged is a direct quote and since I did not see it I can put no context behind it. The snake then quickly slithered away and disappeared, my Dad thinking it went out the garage, my step Mom saying it never did. My Dad to prove his point picked up the seat of the cart and "hello there big fella".

He rolled the cart out of the garage, took seat off and left it. The snake eventually left. I told him it is probably just hiding up in the controller :evil6:

 very good

So these snakes come into our garages and use our carts to re-charge? This could explain why only one battery of a pack fails prematurely :D

l2ridehd 07-12-2011 09:24 AM

That snake crawled into the seat cushion and is just waiting to bite him in the a**.

Fourpar 07-12-2011 12:16 PM

Okay, so now I have to check (very carefully) under the seat before driving off to the golf course.....
Thanks AJ, my wife just saw the pic and won't get in the cart without a daily inspection.....:22yikes:
