It was a dark and stormy night.....

Goodness what a weather night. It's raining here in Caroline, seems to be heavy rain in the Spanish Springs area from watching the web cam in that square. Raining where you live? This evening weather is what I thought we might get from Issac passing by...that wasn't much, thankfully, but tonight we have ... rain, lightning, thunder, wind, rain, rain and more lightning and thunder. Time to hunker down with a good book.

My skylights are flashing like strobe lights... ;)

Hope you're all comfortable and dry this wet and electrically charged evening.

The lightening just flashed outside illuminating one of the windows looking out on my lanai. You could see the perfect outline of a big old frog holding on to the window for dear life. Spooky. How do they get inside my screened enclosure?

It is pouring rain here on the second hole of Orange Blossom.

same going on in Hadley - quite a lightening show - and rain, rain and more rain

my dog is shaking like a leaf here in Sunset Pointe! quite a show out there!

Tamarind Grove (just of north of 466a) is getting hit pretty hard with lightening and rain.

Laurel Valley ...the lightning is like one of those creepy horror shows. A constant barrage and rain and more rain. Why isn't there a crawl on the TV screen and why didn't the phone warn us? If this isn't a severe thunder storm, I'll eat your hat.

There is an urban stream flood warning for the Lake County portion of The Villages....though I'm afraid to step out into my yard without a life raft... ;)

I'm 90 miles in the northeast quadrant from Hurricane Isaac's center. Very little rain, no lightning, only occasional wind gusts high up. Been that way all day. Go figure!

Cats and frogs!!

It's been raining cats and frogs here in Sanibel for most of the late afternoon into the darkness. We have to laugh sometimes....we moved to Florida partly because the skies up north always seemed to be gray. Since we moved here I've never seen so much rain. Many people we have met tell us this has been the rainiest they've seen it in years. I guess we have brought the rain with us. Sorry!

Don't worry. I am a Florida girl and for the last few years we did not see that much rain. It USUALLY rains July/August at 3PM for 15 minutes and then stops- a little more or a little less. This had NOT been happening the last few years.

I said to my hubby, "It is only a matter of time before the skies open up"!

Welcome to my home- welcome to Florida!! :beer3:

It was pouring in Mira mesa. The lighting was terrible. I'm with Happinow it's raining cats and frogs. I have three frogs on my window in the den and two frogs on my window on the back porch. Seems to have slowed down but I can see lighting but I can't hear any thunder.

They were together in the House. Just the two of them. It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump. She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance and wished that he would take her in his arms, comfort her and protect her from the storm.

Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out... she screamed... He raced to the sofa where she was cowering. He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms. He knew this was a forbidden union and expected her to pull back. He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him.

The storm raged on...
They knew it was wrong...
Their families would never understand...
So consumed were they in their FEAR...
That they they never heard...
The opening of doors...
Just the faint click of a camera......
