Glenview, Glenbrook area....just curious...

... no malicious intent...just curious.

It appears to have a different feel in that area....is it just me or is it way different than other areas.?

We stay in Hadley and seldom make it up that way but....I love the entrace to Glenbrook with the pond etc...seems so different than other areas..was wondering if that is true? Any thoughts?

Also, I think we were near Glenbrook (?) and entered to use the restroom...there was a place called Sudbury (?).....it looked way different than other Villa (?) areas or am I wrong on this....What little we saw of the area had a different...more upscale (?) feel to it? Is the whole village different? It does not seem so different when viewing homes on The Villages websight.

Does anyone understand what I am saying, or am I all washed up? and could anyone explain this area to me?

Again my impression was neither good nor bad ....just different and I am curious and can never seem to get up there to go exploring since our days always get so busy while we are there.

I think you are correct. The entrance to Glenview CC, the club itself, and the surrounding townhouses definitely have a different feel from the other areas. No other club has an entrance like that one with the pond and bridge and tree-lined road. It's a nice change. Not better, just different.

extra nice

Glenview is the last of the different country clubs, all the rest are cookie cutter. Also the last hot tub built by the Villages.

If you are in the area poke your head into the GV pool. I will only say it is very unique..... I leave the fun of discovering why up to your explorations...

Glenview was the next to last, Lopez was the last of the different country clubs. Don't know about hot tubs.

To the OP...Sunbury is a premier neighborhood just adjacent to Glenview Country Club.

I agree completely. As the Builder moved south things became way less aesthetically pleasing. I do notice that some of the areas South of 466A are looking a bit better. It appears that at least for a while they were just sticking as many homes into an area as possible. Case in point: nearly 1200 homes in Buttonwood, Pennecamp and Tamarind grove each. This is disappointing to me but not enough to move.

While you are near Glenview....(I KNOW Buggyone is glowing at the praise because he chose to live there) just across the way from Glenview is the neighborhood of Harmeswood where there are Premiers that are different than the ones we see now on very large lots and lots of pretty landscaping. Don't miss that.

Gracie absolutely knows I am smiling ear to ear when my neighborhood is praised by anyone! I absolutely love my home in Glenbrook.

Those town homes at Sudbury are really unique and quite luxiourous inside. Next time you see one as an open house, go take a look. Very impressive but I have no desire to have stairs in a house again!

thanks

I am glad that everyone agrees.

Very nice area....Buggyone I am sure you must love it.

Any one else have any other thoughts on this area? Remember tho to be nice...it is Buggyones home you know ;-)

Gracie, I will check it out whenever I get a chance.

the pool

... AJ Brown ...we did have the chance to check out the pool since that was where we stopped for out break...you to use the facilities. Very nice.

We were adventurous and drove our golf cart from the cottage areas opening...way south ....name escapes me presently ....alll the way to the northermost rec ctr....just had to do it while we were there....wanted to see what it is was like...because of the long trip....we had to stop for our restroom break...

I have noticed there are some areas of TV that have a more suburban feel which is nice. There are also areas that have grown old gracefully - and one that comes to mind is Mira Mesa; however, I have only seen it from the golf course side and was very impressed. Not sure if I am familiar with the Glenview are you mention, but this once again cements my thinking that you should really rent for six months to discover all the areas to see which is the right fit for you.

Our first LSV was in one of the magnificent Villa's just behind the Church on the Square - absolutely wonderful.

ssmith 06-20-2013 05:28 PM

yes, yes, yes

my problem is that I love it all....just waiting til our turn.

I love how some of the more established areas look soo regal and Florida at it's best ;-) but I also love how the newer areas look young and full of possibilities.

I will also check out the Mira Mesa area.

We have walked around the area behind the Church On the Square and love that feel too.

Don't shoot me, but I think the developer has done a great job and I fell in love with the beauty of the place 7 years ago and it continues today.

You have such a happy and positive approach. I think you would find beauty wherever you are, because there is a lot of kindness in your heart....and it shows.
