chachacha is down for the count.....

One of TOTV members has been hospitalized. Our Pretty Chachacha took a spill on the dance floor yesterday (Thursday) and went down for the count of 10. Reports are that she suffered a broken wrist and is in the hospital undergoing surgery.
With only one wing usable for a while, Chachacha will have a difficult time cooking her favorite meal - Franco-American spaghetti!

graciegirl 02-26-2010 04:54 PM

Oh ChaChaCha....maybe switch to a slow dance?

I heard that news this morning and passed on my card to one of her close buddies. I can be her wing...woman.

If you are reading this Diane. I am so sorry and hope you won't be feeling bad long. Nice people like you shouldn't feel bad.

And I have recent experience nursing a broken appendage. Awaiting commands.

redwitch 02-26-2010 10:46 PM

Hey, girl, take care of yourself and hope you're back on the dance floor soon! Shout out if you need anything.

champion6 02-27-2010 12:34 PM

joannej 02-27-2010 09:03 PM

Chachacha,

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Here's wishing you well! Joanne :)

KathieI 02-27-2010 09:16 PM

Well, I'm going to brag about our singles group (well, some are marrieds too) but all have come through as wonderful friends, there to help Dianne through this ordeal. Peazoup and Linda Lou went to her aid immediately at the hospital, many have been going back and forth to the hospital to visit her, and Linda Lou picked her up this morning and she is home and comfortable. We have set up a daily "feed and water" plan for ChaCha so that she will be able to rest up and mend and get back on her feet. This is the time that you find our what true friends are all about and we sure are lucky here in TV that we have each other.

ChaCha (Dianne) had surgery on her wrist yesterday and was surrounded by many friends (male, female, married, single) to support her. She is doing well and we suspect will be
dancing in the square very soon and on TOTV to tell us how she's feeling.

Get well, Dianne, we love you and miss you!!!
All your friends in TV!!!

Tell us, Kathie, did she break her mousing wrist? Is she able to get online to see all the best wishes for her?

First things first, you know. We want her to be able to see all these posts for her.

LOL,,,, She just wrote me an email.. She's wanting the egg salad I made for her, that's a good sign. She calls herself, the one arm wonder..... she broke her left wrist so maybe she can use the computer.

I told her to come on totv to see the posts. If she does, I think she'll post something.

sunflower3630 02-27-2010 09:55 PM

Get Well, Chachacha!

I'm so sorry to hear about your fall, Dianne. Hopefully, your TV friends will be taking good care of you until you're able to fend for yourself again.

Please feel better soon, and a very speedy recovery to you!!

Your "Mitford" friend,

Jackie

Yes, KathieI, and let's not forget that Dorothy notified us immediately after the incident and set things in motion. It may have been quite some time until we heard about it if Dorothy hadn't been "Joannie on the Spot" with her report.

beady 02-28-2010 10:53 AM

Guess if I had to pick a time and place to fall it would be around good friends, while dancing the night away.
Get well and mend quickly.

Bettiboop 02-28-2010 11:36 AM

Best wishes for a quick recovery, ChaCha! AND...kudos to all your TV friends who have rallied around you in such a fantastic way. I just love that about TV!!

I'll be sending healing vibes your way from my home to yours. Hugs!

Yes, Tkret (Gene), dear... and your immediate notification by email to all of us about the incident. That sparked the wave of assistance to Dianne as quickly as we could get in touch with her. Blondie and I called her while she was in ER and imagine our surprise when a man answered her phone... it was the date she was with when she fell. Thank goodness he was a nice man and stayed with her because our little "independent" miss Dianne, would not have notified us of her dilemma. So thanks to you and Dorothy for the prompt notification of her accident. (wow, you even interrupted your Olympics viewing long enough to send us the email.... !!! )

oatmealgirls 02-28-2010 02:36 PM

Take care

chachacha,
From one Dianne to another, here's hoping you are feeling better by the time you read this!
Looking forward to reading your posts again when you are ready.

Freeda 02-28-2010 11:28 PM

Dianne, I was very sorry to hear of your injury; and wish you a quick and full recovery!

BarryB 03-01-2010 11:26 AM

First let me say I'm sorry to hear you were hurt Dianne.
Since I'm not on the elite mailing list I did not get the word.
To the rest of you do gooders
A true friend does not need recognition or brag on doing things for friends.Who classifies friends as single or married?

JUREK 03-01-2010 11:35 AM

get well Dianne

Chachacha: Yes you are indeed lucky to have all your friends.
Here's good luck in your speedy recovery . :beer3::beer3::beer3:

Diane was my very first friend in TV and I look forward to many, many years.

I am hoping that Dianne is still doing well as this was quite some time ago. She is a sweet girl with high standards and pretty as a picture too. But this fall was over two years ago and this thread was reactivated.

Geewiz 11-06-2012 03:11 AM

Get well soon!

Demand the good drugs. Dilaudid was Elvis' drug of choice. I had it once (after surgery) and, yes, I felt like a king. Whine. Cry. Complain. Get the script and enjoy.

Once I'm down there...let's have a dance. I promise I won't let you fall.

Ditto. I was going to send wellness wishes and then noticed it was over two years old???

Sometimes I get the distinct impression that when they want to hide some more interesting posts or tuck them back in hard to find pages and areas, they bring forth very very very old posts.

I don't think "they" do that at all.

I've noticed a surge in the number of ancients threads with new posts. Perhaps it's just Newbies playing around and using the search engine, and maybe they don't realize the date of the original thread.
