8:30 am today we became Villagers
 

WOW ! Got call at 8:30 that our closing is done. Keys are in the mail.
Must stay in Alabama for 12 more months but then the big move .
New home in Collier , Marianna Villas. What a great day.

I have to ask if you are renting out your home for the next 12 months? We are coming down next month and maybe buying then for our upcoming retirement (yahoo) in 2015. If we don't buy next month then it will be this time next year. Just curious what you are doing for the next 12 months. Congrats to you!

Congratulations! We bought a house in Collier, Carabella Villas and were in the same situation as you. Husband will come down in December and I will be there in September. People say the time will pass quickly, but for me its dragging by very slowly.

We will not rent. We will use the next 12 months to fix it up just the way we want it.

That sounds like fun. We are looking forward to our visit in Feb to visit our friends, play golf and maybe find our forever home while getting out of Siberia (Chicago)...wait I think Siberia was warmer the other day!
