Euchre

We or I would like to find a group to play friendly games of Euchre. Does anyone else play or want to play?

graciegirl 02-15-2014 07:51 AM

WE LOVE to play Euchre. I SEE that you too are from Ohio.

I would, if you don't mind teaching me??? I'm a quick learner.

Nlnicholson 02-15-2014 08:28 AM

Where? When? Hubby might wanna play

PatandBob 02-15-2014 08:42 AM

Euchre is our favorite game. Let us know where and when.

tippyclubb 02-15-2014 08:56 AM

Tom & I love playing Euchre. When we were younger we use to host many Euchre tournaments with family & friends in our basement. We haven't played in years and look forward to playing when we arrive.

I will send you a pm with our contact information.

Kathie1 we would be happy to teach you. My husband taught me and is a great teacher and a very patient man.

Me too. I played euchre once. It was kinda like bridge. I would love to join a beginner's group.

Bizdoc 02-15-2014 10:03 AM

I misspent many hours in college playing Euchre. <smile> I'd love to get together for a friendly game (it has been, lets say, a while since I last played so I'm a bit rusty).

stroglass 02-15-2014 10:09 AM

What kind of game is this?

CFrance 02-15-2014 10:12 AM

It's a card game with some similarities to bridge. You have a partner, and you bid.

Five cards with the jacks changing power according to trump.

There is no clothes removal or drinking shots.;)

Unless that is local rules.

On a more real, not kidding note. I wonder if we could have a TOTV Euchre group monthly at one of the rec centers???

tippyclubb 02-15-2014 10:28 AM

Here's a link to the basic rules of Euchre. You can also play the game on line which would be good for practicing.

Yahoo Games

I found this link also which I think explains the game better.

We used to play Euchre when we lived in Illinois....I think my hubby Chuck would play. Just put a time and place on the forum, or pm me. It would be fun to get a regular game going.

Play Eucher

The Eucher clubs are quite big so we would rather play with just a few people in homes. Are you interested? We're here for the winter from Indiana.

I know we are interested.

jdsl1998 02-15-2014 06:21 PM

We just moved here full time in January. We would like to play. In folks homes would be good or I thought we could meet at a pool. I talked to my mom this afternoon, she has several card groups she belongs to....she said 2 or three tables at the house works very well.

gplenz111 02-15-2014 08:45 PM

When we play in Indiana we have three tables with four people at each table and it works very well.

TNLAKEPANDA 02-15-2014 09:01 PM

As a kid I can remember my parents playing that card game... knocking on the table and all. No idea what it is all about.

mherzberg 02-15-2014 09:44 PM

I'd love to play and believe my wife would also. Please keep me in the loop if some plans are made!!!

graciegirl 02-15-2014 11:55 PM

Euchre, our house, March sometime, three tables? Progressive? First six couples who respond? Everyone bring a snack?

Gracie,
We would love to be part of your Euchre group. Count us in, if there is still room. Thanks!

graciegirl 02-16-2014 07:57 PM

We now have six with Frannie B.

graciegirl 02-16-2014 07:58 PM

But nothing to keep someone else from hosting three tables. We can switch around in the future if we want to.

graciegirl 02-27-2014 05:59 PM

Seven. Bring a snack to share.

Euchre, Our house Saturday night. March first.

I have the following who are planning to come CQuick and husband, Me and Sweetie. GiGene and Kathie, Pam and Bob.

I am not sure about M.Herzberg and FrannieB.

We have enough for two tables for sure.

ssmith 02-27-2014 06:03 PM

:-(

Wish we were there....love Euchre!
Enjoy!!!

We love playing Euchre. Must be more of a Midwest game.
I typically " lose my shirt in poker" so nice there is no clothes removal. But c'mon; no Fireball shots for going alone and making it?

cquick 02-28-2014 11:05 AM

 Euchre tonight? do we have 2 tables? also, if it doesn't work out tonight, they have started a Euchre group at Eisenhower Rec center....not sure of the day and time......anyone else know?

cquick 03-01-2014 01:17 PM

cquick 03-03-2014 12:57 PM
