Pet Friendly Restaurants
Which restaurants have pet friendly patios...??
We have a visitor passing through and need it for a lunch! |
The individual (s) has to have a medical condition that allows a pet in a restaurant, that is my understanding. Looks like your on the hook for lunch.
|
Saw a yorkie sitting on the lap of a woman in the restaurant at Evans Prairie two weeks ago.
|
Cody's, Johnny Rocket's, TooJay's; probably several others. Easiest way would be to call the restaurant you want to eat at and ask them if dogs are allowed on the patio.
|
Take a dogie bag.
|
saw someone at Riccardis on their outside area with a dog.
|
Here we go again.................................
|
If people don't want hats in restaurants, why would they want a dog?
|
cause dogs don't wear hats???

A simple question. I'd rather not take bets on how long it takes til it gets ugly. PLEASE folks. Not this time. It doesn't have to. Can't we just answer the OPs question?
|
I saw a couple with a dog on the outside seating section at the Mexican Restaurant in the Colony Plaza Shopping Center. The dog was very well behaved. I believe he was a Golden Retriever.

Back on topic. A month or so there was a thread on this. One restaurant has actually gone through the permit process FL requires to allow dogs on the patio. It's either Cody's or Red Sauce. I would call those places and ask, or do a search on this forum. Good luck. |

We've had lunch on the patio with our Schnauzer at Johnny Rockets, Athens NY, Crispers, Cody's and Sonic to name a few.
|
I am trying to talk Mikey, our cat to go to lunch with us, but he absolutely is not interested. I think everyone would enjoy his presence. He is small and black and sweet and very stubborn about what he eats.
I haven't ever seen a kitty at a restaurant. Mikey really doesn't like people food anyway, and only some people. I guess, I should make it very clear that I am kidding. But not about enjoying Mikey. |

Dogs in restaurants are a common sight in Germany, they lay under the table and a quit unless another dog goes by and they a quickly quieted by their owner. Not allowed in food stores or Churches. When I had my Dachl, we took her to the bank, though Penney's etc. No one squawked people just wanted to see her.
|
I'd rather sit next to a table of dogs than some of
The "humans" we've seen. |

Actually Cody's is the only restaurant that has the required permit to allow a dog in the outside area and there are quite a few requirements that go along with having the permit. Red Sauce does not have a health permit. This previous thread has a lot of discussion on this if you would like to review it. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...outside-90294/ |

If I'm a restaurant owner and have the choice of:
a) banning dogs from the patio and restaurant; orI'm going to go with the No Dogs Allowed rule for my restaurant: Video News Report: Latest Videos « CBS Miami Lincoln Road’s Dog Friendly Atmosphere Revisited After Waitress Is Mauled MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) – A South Beach waitress is recovering after a dog attacked her on Labor Day weekend. She received 300 stitches, according to an Animal Services report first obtained by CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald. The woman is a waitress at Lincoln Road’s famous Van Dyke restaurant. On Labor Day weekend, a woman came to the restaurant with her dogs. Witnesses tell CBS4 that the waitress brought a bowl of water to one of the dogs, described as a large black mastiff. |
Thanks for all the answers - I probably should have mentioned I understand patio dining is probably what we'll do.
:sigh: |

Owned dogs in my life and not one of them asked to go to the restaurant with us. They must have known that us as humans enjoyed talking to one another since they could not speak. I saw they enjoyed running around at parks and not as much laying on cement on a restuarant patio floor. So much for a dogs life!

Lost my doggie of 17 years 1 1/2 years ago. Still cry for her. I loved her with all my heart.
I see doggies at craft fairs, and such. Some person could step on your doggie. Some look scared. Apparently you don't think so. Keep your sweet doggie home. Why take your doggie to a restaurant? Stay home if you want to eat with your doggie. My opinion. |

The best pet friendly restaurant is your own kitchen. Why would I want to eat next to your dog?

Short and to the point. |
The patio at World of Beers allows dogs plus their food is good. Enjoy!
|
no restaurant should be pet friendly. keep them at home. i have no desire to eat anywhere which would allow a customer to bring their pet to the table. of course, i would also like no children in restaurants also.
|
I agree!
|
I had a nightmare last night that I was eating in a posh restaurant and the table next to me had two dogs , I probably could have handled it ok except they were wearing ball caps...
