Pools in the Villages open for all?
It appears there might be a flaw in the system, where Stonecrest residents are using the Villages pools at night. Coming through the Gate (the wall) at 10 pm last night, a cart with two bathing suit /towel clad people were on there way home…. i think. Going in that direction at that time, its either Wal-Mart or Stonecrest, any thoughts on that?

Me thinks someone is trying to stir the pot. Why would Stonecresters want to use TV pools wheb they have four of their own????

Did they have the appropriate micro-chips implanted in their necks as their Villages Identification?
|
I heard they peed in the pool.
|
Could it have been some Villagers going to Stonecrest to visit friends? Or could it really have been non-Villagers going home from a private home pool party.
If it troubled you so much you should have asked where they were going. Posting this question on this board accomplishes nothing more than giving an opportunity to those who enjoy bashing Stonecrest residents. |
Maybe it was Villagers going to use Stonecrest pools?
They are much nicer, and less crowded. Expect anything on a holiday weekend. |
BOLO snickers bars today.:yuck:

They might have been legit if they were direct family members of Villagers....child, grandchild, parent and have a valid in-area guest pass.

For anyone with any common sense, who in their right mind, would think that a bunch of "Old People" from Stonecrest are going to go miles out of their way just to use The Villages pools, when they can go in their own community, with equally as nice pools and less crowded. I suggest "The Bashers" get a life and only worry about things that REALLY are important!!! :cus: :cus: :cus: |

Is this an example of being kind and helpful. Many of these statements may seem funny to you experienced members, but come off as confusing to others.

judging by some of the totally inappropriate dressed people I've seen out shopping my guess is they were on their way to Wally World.

Probably the latter because you need a pass to get through the wall gate and that is difficult if not impossible to get! |
My question is totally of topic, but

What is inappropriate dress in FL? We're in PA and the above quote caught my attention. We've never been one to go with "the crowd", but don't want to offend anyone when we're in the area by dressing in a way that is inappropriate. We want to be accepted for who we are, but unfortunately, first impressions can last a life time. |

Perhaps the poster who made the comment will elaborate. |
I see guys dressed in sleeveless underwear shirts while shopping and I think that is inappropriate. You cant wear something like that on the TV golf courses. But that is not just in Florida.
I still refuse to wear shorts to church (wear them about everywhere else) but a lot of guys do and that's their choice. Occasionaly I see ladies with a more "revealing" halter top but not often. Appropriate dress is a personal choice here and other places----excuse off topic and I was just joking about Village residents going to WalMart in bathing suits and how difficult it is to get a pass through the wall gate. |

CFrance and justjim, thank you. As newbies we appreciate guidance and depend so heavily on this forum. It sounds like PA and FL are similar and common sense rules.

maybe just running thru the sprinklers...:girlneener: you can get pretty soaked

Those that posted against this nonsense, thank you. As a Stonecrest resident I appreciate it when you guys stick up for us. We have 4 pools and a nice Jacuzzi. Why would any one of us travel cross country to use a pool. Thanks again.
