Disappointed - Coldwater Creek close out sale

I kinda thought Coldwater Creek would have a big sale before they closed up for good. Guess not. I know I'm on their e-mail list and haven't heard anything about a sale.

hmmm

I'm up north and ours is still open and still having inventory sent to them with percentages off. I will say the selection of items is not all that exciting though

They also had several sales before the store closing people came in.

I wonder if it was due to the high cost of rent there.

Goldwater Creek

Go to the website....70% off.

Was at CC yesterday. 50 to 70 per cent off.t.v.

:thumbup:Maybe a drive thru Lake Sumter Landing recently would have alerted you to the sales! Signs have been in the windows of the store for weeks!!! Just saying!

Just because there are signs saying so does't mean that it is actually a good sale. When you go in you find that not all items are that percentage off and of course it is on the highest price...in my experience, they normally have sales such as this on the highest price....just saying!

I'll say. No one forces a company to rent ANYwhere...plus their woes are far greater than just this location.

That ever present urban legend of "high retail rent in TV"

Totally and absolutely NEVER is the reason for any business quitting or failing. Those same rents were what the business owners signed up for up front.

Ooooppps, I took the bait!

Amen. Beall's Outlets never seems to have any problem paying the rent. Perhaps they will open another store at the former Coldwater Creek location.

I believe that location is way too small for a Beall's Outlet.

if they would lower there prices dont you think they would be staying in business, use your head on that one.

Company closing stores all over.
Everybody wants a give a way.
Eventually the discount will be 95% for whats left.
Really?

jblum315 06-08-2014 01:15 PM

The Coldwater Creek company is going out of business. Has nothing to do with the one in Sumter Landing.

Lauren Sweeny 06-08-2014 05:52 PM

The C Creek Outlet and Clearance stores in Orlando have been closed for about a month. Does that indicate something?

Wandatime 06-08-2014 07:48 PM

I've been snapping up some great items right and left on their website! Just ordered a couple more items today. Sad to see them go, but an email to me indicated a plan to re-launch.

Radioman41 06-08-2014 08:04 PM

Coldwater Creek may be back in some form. See the email we received several days ago. This is only the first paragraph:

Dear Coldwater Creek Customer,

As a valued Coldwater Creek customer, we are writing to inform you that the Coldwater Creek brand and certain other assets, including its customer list, have been acquired by CWC Direct LLC. We acquired these assets because we believe in the Coldwater Creek brand and we intend to re-launch the Coldwater Creek business in the future. We hope to regain your business by offering you great products and value consistent with Coldwater Creek's 30 year heritage.
