New McDonalds 441 Lady Lake not pleasant experience

Stopped at new McDonalds on 441 in Lady Lake. What a terrible mistake.
Restaurant was dirty. Very Small inside. Servers had no idea about the products
Value meal is non existent. Menus scroll so fast you cannot read it.
Appears this Restaurant was an afterthought of someone just trying to make a buck.

Had chicken. really have no idea if it was real chicken or artificial meat.
Food was overcooked and Cold. Will not be going back..

Our son in law, during his college days, worked at McDonalds. He claims the best thing a customer can do when they have a complaint is to contact the franchise owner. It's posted in every unit. We're in PA and it may be different in FL, but he feels it's the best route to go with a legitimate complaint.

I've taken my mother there twice now and I certainly can't see this complaint. The place is brand new - dirty? You must have plastic on all your furniture and make everyone who visits take off their shoes. Employee confusion, perhaps a little - but it's a NEW store with NEW employees. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT. The menus are the same as at every other McDonald's. Did you think they made a new one for this store only? Finally, McDonald's food is McDonald's food - again, what did you expect!

From experience, if it's owned by the same guy who owns Colony there isn't much point to speaking to him.

Did you know they charge $0.50 more for a large choc. shake than others on 466a and 466.!

GatorFan 06-09-2014 07:17 PM

Owner is same as the Spruce Creek McDonalds.

Do they have to pay their own road maintenance?

I never heard they were building a new McDonald's. What is it near?

babbs455 06-10-2014 04:49 AM

it is directly across the road from the lady lake police dept on 441 we went there after their 3 week opening, I found everything clean and up to par except...with the way the traffic is...people can cut thru and bump you in the drive thru lane....poor planning on that end...but it is rather small...but then again...it is MCD...FAST FOOD

Martysmom 06-10-2014 05:17 AM

I always order the mini cinnamon rolls but the one's at the new 441 store were not good! They gave it to me cold. Didn't even microwave them to warm them up. I had to park my car and go in to ask them to heat them up!

Do you suppose that because it is a Mc Donald's that people should expect less?
Do you suppose the owner of that Mc Donald's says well expect less from us because we are a Mc Donald's?

Expectations are indeed in the eye of the beholder. So, generally if you see all
Mc Donalds as a step down in dinning then that is what you will experience.

The converse is true. Again, generally if you believe by reputation that a restaurant is frequented by those with a greater appreciation of fine dinning and willing to pay the cost then that is what you will experience.

Frankly I am appreciative that members speak their minds to me it serves as a heads up and that's all this is because the OP doesn't seem to be soliciting agreement here just observations

I was there once and it seemed fine! New and not dirty that we could see! As for prices differing. I can attest that happens....I order iced coffee many times and the prices differ depending on location of the McD's. It's all over the board....here in TV they're $2.78. I've also paid $2.50-something and even $2.00 in other states. Think it depends on the franchise!

Oh, thats it, Im out of retirement and now I have to find a job

golf2140 06-10-2014 07:56 PM

Just think, the person who drops the fries in will be getting 15.00 an hour, or 31,200 if the min. wage goes that way. Something wrong with that !

Wandatime 06-10-2014 08:00 PM

Sometimes the price difference is because of local taxes. Not sure if that is the case here, but I have had a 4% sales tax in one area and 7% in another in other states.
