Is Lake Sumter Landing flooded?

I just noticed the new banner atop the TOTV forum. With the recent water main break that flooded UCLA and our need to worry about everything all the time... I am now afraid to go to LSL with my golf cart as clearly the waters have risen and boats are encroaching onto what used to be dry roads. I don't know whether to blame global warming, Muslims, Obama, or the NSA but clearly the Morse family or one of their subsidiary tentacles has to be involved. Right?

Pretty nice banner, I really like it!

UCLA's Pauley Pavilion floods after massive water main break | FOX Sports

I had not noticed the new banner. Funny.

Maybe the Morse's just tossed too much Tea into the lake?

If some of you didn't "get" it, Bluash is talking about the picture at the top of this page which is really a composite of three, but not so skillfully done.

The rest is just pot stirring.

I heard a rumor that the name is being changed to 'venice' landing

Rickg 08-04-2014 10:25 AM

It floods every night but they pump It dry by morning ;)

You do not get the banner if you use the default style TOTV screens.

If you use the default style screens (blue), go to the bottom of your screen and click on TalkOfTheVillages on the left hand side.

Not a big deal to me.

Beware of false knowledge, it is more dangerous than ignorance.

HaHa very funny and kinda true. I blame Al Gore for global warming-- be careful out there

asianthree 08-05-2014 07:58 AM

It is kind of confusing to those who have not been there

2BNTV 08-05-2014 08:15 AM

For those that are new to this site, there is no flooding in LSL.

Just some pot stirring, or an ill attempt at humor!

Everything is wonderful in TV.

Not according to this article, in the on line news:

Shoreline eroding on land under Morse Blvd. bridge over Lake Sumter

I usually use tapatalk to access the TOTV site which does not have graphics. But I had to see this pot stirred ill attempt at humor. I had to laugh; someone from Sharknado must have done the photoshopping. Thanks to the OP for injecting some fun into a site that sometimes gets a little too serious.

Word to the wise....wear your waders....ha,ha,ha !!!

zonerboy 08-05-2014 09:43 AM

It seems there are quite a few "the sky is falling" types on TOTV. Not happy unless they have something to worry about. So flooding of Lake Sumter Landing fits right in. Not really pot stirring IMHO, just good humor.

rdhdleo 08-05-2014 09:46 AM

I think the photoshopping is very well done, very clever and it did peak interest ;) does what a good photo shop job should do! LOL

RErmer 08-05-2014 09:47 AM

I must admit, the banner caused me to do a second take!

oh, OH OOH I hadn't thought about the sharks that are going to be in that water.

EnglishJW 08-05-2014 10:51 AM

I enjoyed seeing the banner as well as the humorous comments.

Just think, we can trade in our golf carts and get gondolas (with hunky gondoliers no less!).
