TOTV Monthly Get Together at Crispers this Friday, August 15
 

Attention everyone. Your presence is requested this Friday, 3:00 p.m. at Crispers, located on County Road 101, in the Southern Trace Shopping Center. Come one, come all, for a great time with other TOTV people. Just show up and have some fun. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Since our golf group has suspended play for the summer Nancy and I will be at Crispers.

Vern and I are hoping to meet some Villagers. We have been here 2 weeks now and we are ready for some fun instead of waiting for people to do repairs on our new house. We will figure out how to get there.

The Southern Trace Shopping Center is on 466, (intersection of 466 and cr101).
Crisper's, is within the mall area.

I should be there, if the crick don't rise.

Thanks to everyone who came to Crispers today for our monthly get together. It was great to see everyone and to get to know one another a little bit better. Those who were able to make it were: Susan G, tainsley, LittleDog, NannyO, Skyguy79, Eileenny2tv, Swrinfla, uprivergirl and Vern, 2BNTV, AandJmassage (Alan and Judy), PLS11 (Paul), GracieGirl and Henry. Hope I did not miss anyone. Please correct me if I did. Thanks. It was a pleasure to talk to all of you and I look forward to seeing everyone in September.

I was at Crispers yesterday but not until after 7:15 PM or so to pick up take-out dinners.

I had to stick around to wait for the ObamaCare people to call but our phone had been full of static until a repair late Friday afternoon. Still have some problems with this.

The ObamaCare people could not really make a good connection but I had to stick around in case the phone was OK and they tried to call back.

I am still having a little pain from when the dog at Doggie Doo Run Run ran me over when Beau was chasing him. This was Buster a 75 lb Boxer mix that was running hell or high water from Beau-- a 9 lb chihuahua/terrier-- who put me down as well as Michael Strahan could.

You forgot to tell what was in the take-out dinners :laugh:

I have been wondering if I will have to declare the $15 I made from Jury Duty in Sumter County Court back on May 19, 2014? This was for a case being tried by Circuit Judge Michelle T. Morley which the defendant plead guilty to and according to this Judge saved 16 weeks from being on the Court Calendar. Ours was just one of the pieces of whatever was going on back then. Our jury pool was let go after a long morning while the Judge, defendant, and lawyers had hashed that deal out.

The ObamaCare people seem to want to have a run-down of all your finances. Kind of a real pain and very stressful.

The ObamaCare people had phone problems when they called back around August 7, 2014 so we have been playing phone tag.

I will try and not say anything else political.

Except for the coffee pot that sounded like a moaning dog, not much happened. We just sat in the room designated for the Jury Panel for about 3 hours while people quietly talked or read. Most people just read as they do not like you speculating on what the case might be.

There were a number of Villagers there. I would expect about half the people in that room-- among about 35-- were Villagers. About 5 left before much of anything happened. I am not counting them. I was Juror 68 and would bet there were a lot more than just 68 called for Monday, May 19, 2014. Many probably take the 70 or over out of jury service which you get in the mail. If you are 70 or over you do not need to report for jury duty just send in the papers telling them you want to be excused. http://www.sumterclerk.com/index.cfm/jury-duty
